This is too general and the presenter do not dive into the usability of the CIM. What is most important is the format definition and how user can easily interact with the components on the network. In order to use CIM, the user need to know graph database and how to use it to extract the information required. This is not even mention at all in this presentation and completely useless to show the surface of a model without showing the tools underneath. I have been in several industries and the usability of the data format will make the industry move forward or sink. I recon the second one for this one. Stop with the over-engineering process and show basic usage.
