We have internet now, no need split screen which is more demanding to run and the console has to render two instances of the game at the same time
@BurnoutJack3 күн бұрын
Personally I love having the option, and both together is a ton of fun! Online split screen has been, and still is a blast imo. Yes it increases the demand placed on the hardware of a console, which is a point I bring up in the video, but I also talk about how it could still work and give examples. No another YT video game complain vid YT has too many
@BurnoutJack3 күн бұрын
Don’t worry! I try and keep my videos mostly informative including this one, and there’s many other videos on my channel praising games/publishers for what they did right. Like my Isonzo, Halo wars 2, or squadrons videos. Just hating/complaining isn’t something that I want to be known for, so I strive to add context to the complaints people give and only really go negative when I feel it’s necessary.

It’s wild to me that split screen is abandoned when modern screen resolutions and game hardware is so much better. Dividing up the screen wouldn’t leave out as much detail as before.
@BurnoutJack4 күн бұрын
I’d be fine going back to older resolutions when playing split screen, If that’s what it took for the feature to be in more games

As anticonsumer as they are, Nintendo still does a decent job of keeping couch multiplayer alive with the exception of Splatoon. Mario Kart is still a great experience to play locally with friends and family in one place. Smash is a good time that you can take as seriously as you want depending on what demographic you're playing with. Kirby, Mario 3D World, and Mario Wonder are pretty solid multiplayer platformers. Out of these, only Mario Kart is technically split-screen, but I figure local multiplayer is close enough to the topic. However, Nintendo's online is easily the worst in the industry, so that's a significant trade-off.
@BurnoutJack6 күн бұрын
I completely agree, Nintendo’s biggest selling point, past there family friendly games, is their local play. Smash, Mario kart, and Mario Party alone each offer endless hours of replay-ability with friends. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
@futurehistoryarchaeologist44805 күн бұрын
@@BurnoutJack It's really rare to find comparable local multiplayer games of that quality elsewhere. There's a reason the only modern game console I have is the Switch. Almost everything else can be experienced on PC. Even Sony's exclusives are coming to PC after enough time passes. However, unless you break the DMCA in some way (even dumping your own legitimate copies for personal use technically violates the DMCA if you circumvent copy protection), Nintendo's games are only on Nintendo platforms
@dewitnow17654 күн бұрын
I think this is one of the reasons why Nintendo is selling more consoles than Microsoft and Sony. Nintendo still holds on to what consoles have over PC which is couch co-op and great exclusive titles you can’t get anywhere else.

That video start did, in fact, have me reaching for my pitchfork. However... you're right. Compared to the disgusting slop we're being fed recently, EA published games did well, but it wasn't EA that made them good. It was DICE and Respawn. I'm so thankful that you brought out the bad guy turned hero trope because that shit had me so angry when I first played through it. Finally, my chance to be this badass Empire commando that will go around working in the background, fighting against the Rebellion at key points which will eventually fall short of success, but plant seeds for gateways all the way through to Episode 9. Seeing how the First Order views its Imperial remnants. But, no. Instead it's, "oh no my planet, now the Empire is evil, I must destroy the Empire." That shit was so frustrating. Don't get me wrong I still really, really liked how the story was delivered through excellent voice acting, graphics, sound design, etc. But the main plot was so ugh. I can't believe I'm agreeing in 2024 that EA did a better job with Star Wars than fucking Disney (minus Mando and Ashoka (Yes, Ashoka, sue me)) and don't even get me started on Ubisoft.

I did actually play this game back in 2016 and had close to probably 200 hours into it but honestly I started playing fortnite lmao. As for the script writing and editing of the video, I think you did a very good job on it. My critiques would be trying to separate the topics a little bit more, try to add a longer pause between each section. Besides that I think the video is very well done. This is another thing that I've been working on my own channel is trying to make the thumbnails a little bit more simple I see a couple of your videos have very complex thumbnails I feel like if you simplify them you would definitely get more views, outside of that I wish you the best of luck bro. nice video but paragon's footage looked very slow, to slow, plus the graphics looked like they belonged on a mobile game... now i'm not saying that the game looked bad but if u showed me this game and asked "what platform does this run on?" I would say "Idk android" Great game? Yes But it was missing speed and the UI dosen't look that good. Sure DeadLocks UI dosen't look half bad nor half good but considering Paradox is a released game and Deadlock not we can say how DeadLock did things better from the start Also the game looks like is missing something to make it more original because the characters all looked like robots with nothin to attach me to them. When i saw deadlocks character design i could already tell for sure that i want to smash Vindicta.
