Actually peak, awesome work this genesis remix is a banger, kinda missing some time of background drums or something, idk how the explain it but something feels missing.

Nah, i actually really like how they wrote this scene! The way sonic eagerly calls to shadow using a line that came up in their first ever conversation, as if its some kind of inside joke (which makes a lot of sense since they are both time traveling) and the way shadow kinda begrudgingly plays along by recalling what he had said at the time. Then later shadow also using his 'date to die for' line; it feels like both of the are having banta, and making a little fun outta this whole time travel situation they've gotten themselves into! Its one of the few times blatent references actually feels super natural and entertaining in character dialogue! Its pretty clever.

I can kiiiinda excuse it in Frontiers, even if it's a bit too on the nose for my liking. I can absolutely excuse it here since it's a celebration of the franchise and the story is already very simple, so nothing I don't like there. Now, if they do it in their next, hopefully wholly original Sonic game then I will start to be like "alright, wait a minute. Simmer down"
@Monke80s3 күн бұрын
Sonic is gonna say to Shadow in the next game: Long time no see, Shadow. Seems like the Forces were against us meeting once again. This time, though, it's a new Frontier! Tails to Sonic: Hey, Sonic! I have run the calculations and it seems the only way to destroy Eggman's newest creation is by running so fast inside the wheel part that you will create a Sonic Boom that will make the lyrics rise in pitch, causing an unbalance of Fire & Ice in the chamber inside the robot and save the Lost World with flying Colors

@DarkShadowX94 күн бұрын
I genuinely do NOT see the problem with throwing in references in Sonic stories, unless Ian Flynn constantly points them out or that they pop-up out of nowhere, like in Frontiers. Besides, this is Sonic X Shadow GENERATIONS, a game all about going through Sonic and Shadow's history, the *entire* game is a reference fest.

Not to uploader: if 9 out of 10 people disagree with you, you are wrong. Kotaku journalists who made Dragon Age Veilguard and Concorde occur need the same message I am telling you. I got annoyed with the callbacks, but it is Generations. Also, yeah, I agree. My only issue is that Ian doesn't get the fact Amy is supposed to be an annoying fangirl. Sega even said themselves she's supposed to be the Minnie to Sonic's Mickey.
@EricNightStorm4 күн бұрын
@@redhood7778I'm not 100% sure about this but i think Sega is forcing him to write Amy like that, if he had more freedom he'd definitely tone her down but not this much
@DarkShadowX94 күн бұрын
@redhood7778 Oh, he *definitely* gets it, why do you think Ian Flynn balanced out Amy's traits in the IDW comics instead of just, I don't know, *removing the fangirl trait?* Also, she literally says "I thought Sonic was cute, but you're even cuter" or something like that to Classic Sonic. She still has a crush on Sonic, judging by the statement, that trait is *still present.* He didn't remove it at all.

Wow, a Sonic game about going through the past has references to Sonic and Shadow’s past instead of making them have amnesia? *WELL COLOR ME SHOCKED, WHO WOULD’VE FKING KNOWN* Nah I’m kidding. I understand it can be quite weird. But I personally don’t have a problem with it. I think it’s neat actually. Some of these “references” are a HUGE reach though, like the “What U Need” one. Seems like you’re just trying to make it seem bad. You know a Sonic game has truly succeeded when people are actively trying to find the “bad” in it and this is the most they can get. Not really talking about this video though, but mostly what’s been happening on Twitter.
