Loved it before and after brushing. My hair used to air dry like that naturally when I had many layers. Mousse only. It was the best cut I ever had. The hairdresser retired and I couldn't find anyone who cuts like she did.

You're so welcome Misty, thanks for taking the time to leave a commet. I would say if you have a loose wave like mine it's good to not get too 'curly' focused with advice....I did this when I first started and was following routines and using products much more suited to much curlier hair textures; it would get frustrating when mine wouldn't turn out the same or hold up overnight and just looked like a frizzy mess 😆 Good luck - let me know how you get on.

@@Tori_Hunter I don't know. Magic wand maybe? 😀 I can't seem to find a go to wash routine that works all (or most) of the time. Tend to have stringy waves alot. And by the end of the day my hair just gets fluffier and bigger and loses definition so I have to put it up. I've tried a lot of different products and can't seem to find that holy grail. Been about 18 months now on and off, and although I can see an improvement from when I started, I just feel messy, fluffy and frizzy mostly. The overnight heatless curls have been a saviour though. That and the straighteners unfortunately x

@nicolaroberts6878 ah sorry a magic wand is something I can’t provide, sadly 😞 Which method do you use? I found the only real technique that would work in my early days was my version of the bowl method - my hair really needed ALL the hydration or otherwise it would be a frizz ball. You’re welcome, really hope it helps - I prefer foam over mousse so if you don’t get on with gel try out a foam. Hello Tori I've just washed my hair and brushed styled and your video came up so I'm sitting hear watching you with wet hair I always use my mousse and jelly before I brush style I have less frizz this way .Would love to see you do a video at the hairdressers having a trim and highlights have you got layers .How long before you have a trim I've gone 3 months so far it seems to be getting a bit stringy at my ends, I've cut my ends I hate going to the hairdressers as I'm trying to grow it .

Hey @blondiejam - that’s interesting; I always find it more difficult to brush style if my hair as hold product in it, it sort of tangles and snags but I’m going to give it another try. I thought I might film another hairdresser vlog next appointment which will be December. So I’m going 4 months between cuts now - depending how long it is next time I might have some layers cut in, but at the moment it’s still one length. I brush my ends gently when they get a bit stringy like in this video ☺️ I also don’t like going to the hairdresser- I love the outcome but it takes hours and I get so bored and just think about all the things I could be doing 😂 how’s growing out the grey going? I like more volume around my face. I’ll grab a front section of hair, parted by my ear, lift that up, back and then clip. Don’t stretch the hair, just lift place and clip. I’ll repeat on the other side. End result is the front part of my hair is half up. I’ll then go and add other clips towards my crown. I do this immediately after adding product. I’ll let the hair sit in the clips while I go make a coffee. I’ll start defusing the roots with the clips in to set the lift. I’ll then remove to continue drying and defusing. I get the volume without any weird kinks. After drying, I’ll gently put the front clips back in to set the volume while I do my makeup or get dressed. Sorry for the novel but hope that helps. I usually put gel in my hair before leaving the shower. I’ll try holding off on applying any product before brush styling. That makes a ton of sense!!

You can definitely use them pre-wash to help protect hair - I used to use coconut oil that way when my hair was much more fragile. @@blondiejam924 thanks for sharing your experience with them! yeah, I was guessing as much, I think, the magic is in those edges and creating enough tension in the hair when brushing. there's no reason why the bounce curl should be significantly better in terms of results, but does it feel significantly more "premium" when used?

Root clipping takes some practice to figure out what works for your hair. I have a cowlick in the back I clip after diffusing 85ish% dry to help the hair set that way (since I diffuse flipping my hair side-to-side I find putting clips in too early will get my hair caught in them and make removal a pain). I haven’t used the bounce curl clips myself yet, but from what I’ve seen people put them in parallel to their part to grab both sides lift.

Kay thank you so much for the info this is really helpful. I’ll definitely try them again at some point as I did like how full/thicker my hair felt after this routine. Will def also try waiting until my hair is drier before using them - maybe that’s why they slipped so much!

You have a claw clip that you use for sectioning, and I have the same/similar one. I can’t decide if the Bounce Curl clips are different enough to warrant a purchase, other than the holes, which didn’t end up doing much for you anyway. I love volume and have been considering the clips but I can get Scünci clips for a lot less. Do you think they’re similar enough?

Oh it’s so tricky. I haven’t tried them again since I filmed this routine. So feel I can’t give a very convincing opinion as I just don’t have the experience using them. @ronyrodriguez8533 you are so kind, it doesn’t always look awesome I promise but thank you for the lovely compliment. So far I have just pulled out the hair left behind but there wasn’t much. I don’t think it will be too tricky to keep clean but I’ll let you know once I’ve used it a lot more. It does give amazing results though 🥰

@@ronyrodriguez8533 I always remove the hairs and rinse it well after use and leave it to dry before putting it away it’s not much effort at all tbh
