Joe was such a nice man to me. We would occasionally interact on social media and talk about baseball and music. It was always a treat when I got a reply from him. His music will live on forever. RIP Joe

Lee Greenwood is the only country star I can think of who never cared about showing off his bald head. The others cover it up with toupes like Moe Bandy or hats like Garth.

Wow Duane & the boys... Not sure WHAT to say, except this moved me quite a lot. Between fighting off the tears of sadness & rejoicing at all the FANTASTIC times you've had through out the years, I'm not sure how I should be feeling. Duane, realizing how much you are missing your "right hand" man, and knowing you have lost a tremendous amount of happiness, I can not help but believe that your ability to exteriorize your emotions is serving you right. Richard, I often think of you... being Joe's best friend. Though you are the "quiet" one, I was always hoping you were managing YOUR own emotional lost in your own fashion. I felt your emotions in your talk in this tribute, and though I expected you to "keep it together".... you didn't have to. Just saying. As an admirer, I obviously mourn Joe my own way (never will pretend it's anything close to what you guys are experiencing). But I DO feel part of an era is reaching an end & I personally DON'T think I like it.... Thank you. Your long time admirer... Truck driving Syvia. 😘 🫂

Last January I finally had the opportunity to go see the Oak Ridge Boys for the first time; long story short, all the guys were there and sounded great, and Joe was no exception, with his voice sounding as strong as it always was. I look back on that concert fondly now and it makes me all the more thankful that all four of them were present for my first time seeing them

The first time I saw the boys in 2022 Joe was sick with a blood clot and then I saw him last year in steelville Missouri and you can just tell he was not doing well at all hello

He taught us so many life lessons and what was important. He was a man filled with passion to the end and a role model to so many, both far and near. Godspeed, Joe.

In Brazil we have the Gilead Quartet who sing like this: Oh! Jonas, Oh! Jonas, oh! Jonas, foi a Nínive, foi Jonas Nìnive.... Nínive Foi à Ninive sim foi (bis)

Willie does an excellent version of this with his sons. His son Lukas is Willie reincarnated and the only person (other than Willie himself and Ritchie Sambora) who can play chords that can make the best guitarists smile.
