Peter was the funniest sonofabitch around. I played this song with him a couple of times. Big fun!

This was a fantastic afternoon of music. I believe that this video was made by Steve Brown who documented much of the scene during this time. Somebody needs to professionally digitalize his collection before they are lost to time.

Deep Space was such a great tour. I saw them at the Sheraton Waikiki in early '93 and Eric Burdon along with the Brian Auger band opened the show. Wow! I didn't think there was any live footage of this tour. I was able to get backstage with two of my friends and met Jack, Darby, Papa John and Paul Kantner. Got autographs but was only able to get a photo op with Paul. The only reason I was able to get a pic with him was because he was in the restroom at the same moment I was in there before they went on stage. So after I was done, I waited outside and got a pic with him and my friend. Very nice guys. Papa John's wife was with him backstage when I asked for an autograph. He had a difficult time writing my name correctly and after a couple tries...I told his wife it was ok with me if he spelled my name wrong. I was just honored to have been sitting next to him for that short time I was backstage. I wished Marty Balin came backstage but I think he left straight out the door from the stage when they finished. Thank you for sharing this video. This is absolutely priceless!! Aloha from Hawaii!!

This is an OK version of the song 😢, doesn't contain the complexity of the recording, or the personal, no Jerry Garcia or David Crosby! However it's good to document Paul Kantner, singing and playing. The band appears to be slightly fatigued, not alot of these clips are available, from this time period. 😢😮

Being from the Bay Area and having all the old music readily available every week was a blessing from living there in the 60's & 70's....As a dedicated fan i have seen some version of Jefferson Airplane/Jefferson Starship/KBC Band approx 40 times....What i miss most of all were the free shows in Golden Gate Park...Jefferson Airplane/Starship was never not a part of that over the yrs...You would always hear Paul say during their other shows at the end ""SEE YA IN THE PARK"" nice thing about that is....He always meant it !!!

I like Slick and Darby! They are nice people, Darby was cast in such a role in life, and Slick has about the cleanest approach to rock guitar ever, if Paul liked them, they are undoubtedly extraordinarily interesting people!

@appx. 4:59 ...His eyes ..reveal much... . staring straight into the camera ... he knew he was not long for this earthly existence ... 😭😭😭😭😭💔darn fool should have quit smoking ... ( He should have had much more protein and vitamins and anti - oxidants in his diet ..more fresh veggies and fresh fruits also... keep a juicer backstage at the ready... two minutes he could have created a vitamin rich juice concoction .. like an i.v. of nutritional energy and reparative healing to his body .. it could have prolonged his life...) ...and quit the alcohol & hard drugs 💊💊💊💊💊💊also... All here is just my humble opinion .. Health and fitness guru Jack Lalanne lived to be 94 years old ..💪🤳. he knew the healing power of healthy juices .. He invented the best juicer ever .. five homemade , healthy juice drinks a day ...💪🤳🤳🤳🤳🤳 all I have suggested could have made all the difference for Mr. Cipollina . Why could he not have considered these things in his lifetime ... this protein deficiency could have been treated ***so*** much better ...nutritional power infusion of protein / vitamins / minerals / better complete nutrition ... starting in early childhood ...It just makes me so sad .. . He didn't have to die.. so young ....like he did..😭🙏😞✝️🛐
