The earth is mine, the tide is yours, waves upon the sand You are the sea that touches me and runs away again Coals on the stone in rapture nothing up my sleeve as I Turn my head to watch you leave * My mind was twisted, my thoughts so wicked But my body won’t move.. No my body will not move CHORUS I’m paralyzed, feels like I’m hypnotized And it’s just like a crazy dream, but is really happening You got me paralyzed, spellbinding, hypnotized I am the earth, you are the sky And helplessly, I watch you pass me by Ohh, I’m paralyzed The wind is yours, the shores are mine, I am the mountain rage I stand alone upon the stone and watch you blow away Ceaselessly away like a feather in the breeze So very near, it’s just distance you see * My heart is burning, with want and yearning But my body can’t move, no my body will not move CHORUS I’m paralyzed, feels like I’m hypnotized And it’s just like a crazy dream, but is really happening You got me paralyzed, feels like I’m hypnotized I am the earth, you are the sky Silently, I watch you pass me by Ohh baby, I’m paralyzed BRIDGE When the sun shines at night, I imagine the I fade into your sight And I would, I would if I could.. But I’m only just a shadow beneath your silver line CHORUS Paaaaralyzed… And it’s just like a crazy dream, but is really happening Paralyzed, spellbinding, hypnotized And it’s just, just like a crazy dream, but is really happening You got me paralyzed, hypnotized I am the earth, you are the sky Silently, I watch you pass me by Helplessly, I watch you pass me by Ohh baby, I’m paralyzed

The keyboards play an integral part in this song. It totally sounds empty. The mistakes at the end, ruin this song.

One of my favorite songs of all time. Best of the Best 2 one my favorite movies of all time. Every time I listen to this song not only it makes me think of the movie. But it also makes me think of the day that I met Eric Roberts at a convention.

One of my favorite Sembello songs, I couldn't find the lyrics anywhere on the net so I attempted to write them. I've always believed that Michael likely wrote this song for the "Cocoon" soundtrack, but they ultimately went with "Gravity" because of the darker themes. I interpret the song as an elderly person being placed into an assisted living / elderly Care facility, where the marketing paints the facility as "Shangri-La", A beautiful place to live out there golden years. But ultimately they lose their autonomy, independence, And are over medicated to keep them under control. Lyrics: Shangri-La Michael sembello Verse 1: Pack all you cares away, come to our haven, no one is ageing here, the great escape, for winter years. All of the kids are grown (we have families of our own), why be a burden, now that your work is done, (have some fun) relax and watch the setting sun. Chorus: Shangri-La, you'll be so happy here. You'll never notice how the days go drifting into years. Shangri-La, you'll learn to like it here. It's a postcard perfect Paradise. Wish you were here. Shangri-La. Verse 2: No one will be alone,(you'll be safe and feel at home), If you're in danger, guardian angels come, to hold your tight, until you're numb. Life will be like a dream, Sky's so blue and grass so green. We'll call Dr. Landon, and time will be standing still, here's your pill. The miracle of Mellaril. Chorus: Shangri-La, everyone's happy here. You'll never notice how the days go drifting into years. Shangri-La, you'll learn to love it here, as all the memories of your life begin to disappear. Bridge: Shangri-La, you'll never have a fear. You know your family wants what's best that's why they put you here, Shangri-La, everyone likes you here, sure as the people you once knew will slowly disappear, Shangri-La, Life is a souvenir, Only a fading fragile photograph behind your tears, Shangri-La, You will be happy here, watching the pictures of your past totally disappear, In Shangri-La, whispering in your ear, It's an endless raging silence only you can hear, Shangri-La, You're going to love it here, on a permanent vacation, for your winter years. Vamp: Someday we'll all be old and gray, like fragile statues made of clay, an alabaster holiday, of shuffleboarding and Grand Marnier, watching our memory sail away, Like Summer movie Matinees, One never ending Saturday, inside a secret hideaway, where we will forget the day, fade into a mental Milky Way, And no one hears or cares what we say, There will be no prayer that we can pray, That's ever going to save the day, But that's the price we'll have to pay, for all the souls we'll lock away, for all the souls we'll lock away, for all the souls we'll lock away,

Thank you, Angelo Ballestero, for your unforgettable depiction of the spiritual side of Christopher Columbus' pre-mid-and-post journey to simply be able to cry 'LAND-HO' and it become named after Amerigo Vespuci. Undeniable gratitude to the Native American tribes and their leaders and their followers for establishing this curious, mystical, monumental, and destiny-laden country, beautiful despite its occasionally evident when not ensconced flaws. Eternal credit to Mexico, who'd first dreamed and hard-cultivated its present greatness and its on and off rich ports to become what they were long before mankind's noise of progress, rape-peppered war-mongering, noose-spawn slavery, and gun powder polluted the crisp autumn, winter, spring, and summer air. If this beautiful country was as built by godly people on their knees as much as is pulpit-touted, I am grateful to those who prayed and stood for their spirit-ancestral (maybe meta) narratives and thereby conjured and dreamed this American dream into being. Thank you, thank you, and thank you!

Am playing and replaying this over and over while devouring Esther, Job, Psalms, & Proverbs. It's going to be not just a great day, weekend, and September, but the rest of the roaring 2020s, the 2030s, and the 2040s will be triumphant for me and all who are exposed to my words and art!! Believers and Unbelievers alike!
