How can the squad take heavy casualties but still survive??? A squad isn't very large to begin with, unless a US Army squad is limitless. 😂😂😂😂😂😂🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴

The author assumes all high IQ creatures are filled with a hubris unparalleled. All that reveals is intellect without wisdom, ICYMI, wisdom is key to utilizing knowledge, without wisdom, all you have is a college professor who is educated, not necessarily wise enough to use his knowledge, so just educated.

@@AlexandreMS71 Sorry if I offended you, but the story does have merit and it could with a bit of work linking the various chapters to flow to make an enjoyable read. By the way the first part of the battle was set out I taught they had much more than one ship on the ready
@murphymmc20 сағат бұрын
Why does every alien foe surrender when the commander is taken, shouldn't there be a second in command to take over? When the obligatory , "The battle was won but the war was far from over" was stated, it was time to go. I'm not hanging around for "the tension was palpable" and the stupidest phrase ever when landing on another planet, "the view, glow, light, sky (pick one) was otherworldly".....well duh.

humans do not like to fight because humans fight dirty, nasty, and with the will to take the heel of thier boots and grind it in the point between your head and shoulders. Humans will fight until you are completely destroyed - then completely rebuild your entire infrastructure (if they so desire).

Experience from WW I and 2, Korea, other wars have shown a pattern. Most forces, when their officers are killed, retreat or just hold ground. Americans get creative, fast, and very aggressive.

How were the tungsten rods installed on the comm satellites? Did this take place after the attack, or was that little detail a "rabbit out of your hat" thing the author needed to continue the story. Making up crap as you go does not work well in sci-fi.

I guess in this universe generals are privates and noncoms are the officers? Or maybe the Lt. is a butterbar that actually listens to the veteran Sgt.? Although I don’t know of any Sgt. that would put up with being called, “sir”.

WHY indeed do the consoles always break out in sparks and failures? Gad, what a balls up way of telling that he dang ship had troubles?
@nfldend50114 сағат бұрын
I'll continue with this. Why IA every strong leader President/ deadliest diplomat commander always a woman, and why does every weapon cut threw the ship like a knife threw butter or scissors threw paper lmfao. as soon as I hear one of these it's automatic skip. Terran Contact just came out with an offshoot of part 1. It's written amazingly I can only tell by subtle clues probably military current or ex either security or logistics. It has Army Navy ODSTs two similar armies smart AI Athena that I'd pretty much like cortana on steroids. The Aliens sellians are at a constant hot then cold war with it's neighbor the confederation. They find two new Terran/Earth colonies think we are weak and kill and enslave the people until a ship finally makes it to fleet comm where Terran Command finds out why the colonies went dark and Navy vs Navy. It also switches from Terran POV to Sellian Pov in some chapters

Pretty good story, but, both between the battles and after the last fight we should have revisited the Krulax side. After the first battle they should have expressed surprise, but resolved to come back with a bigger fleet. At the end of the last battle they express surprise at the humans innovations and the horror of being chased by the humans as they retreated, thanking the gods that some of them got away--- and then admitting Zorax was right.

Shades of Star Trek, the console erupted into sparks! Sigh, one hit and sparks from the console. If the ships have shields and the shields are operating then why are the consoles sparking? Please no more console sparks, well, unless the ship is about to explode 😢 If they fired EMP bursts why didn’t they immediately take out the enemy flag ship instead of letting it start to come back on line. Why didn’t they fire an EMP burst towards the space station? Apart from all that I did enjoy the story. We are an ornery bunch aren’t we? Thanks.
