Hi Chris! In this video I can see you are using VND filter from Polarpro, I am strongly considering buying a VND filter from Polarpro but I don't know which one to buy, VND 2-5 or VND 6-9. I shoot a lot of extreme sports in the middle of the day, especially when the sun is at its strongest. Which VND filter do you recommend for shooting in bright sunlight? Love your work ❤

The shot with the jump was in Dufer, Oregon. The event Oregon trail rally was in Oregon and Washington. Nice shots tho.

@@chris.creationmachine Thanks for being out there! Came in a little too hot into that corner after a crest and hit a rouge rut under some hard braking - a mental error that was all my fault. Lessons learned! Was definitely feeling the fatigue set in at that time of day... especially after a little lunch in service too.

What lenses/focal lengths did you find yourself using most often here. I've been going to Sandblast for almost a decade but stopped bringing my camera (and kinda got out of the hobby) about 5 years ago. I'm thinking about renting a d500 and a 70-200 but am worried that might be a little too long with the camera being a crop sensor. Should i be looking at a 24-70 instead?

I shoot full frame and with 24-70 and 70-200 as my go to's. Probably 75% 70-200 and 25% 24-70. Hope that helps and hope to see you at Sandblast!

Wow nice footage and amazing pictures! The stages look so empty of spectators compared to what I'm used to, but I hear Rally is gaining popularity in US too? If so, hope to see it grow and maybe we'll get a WRC event there in few years ;)

Definitely not as many people as Europe but they still draw a good crowd. I am credentialed media so I usually setup in places where the don't corale spectators 😆

Thank you for this my friend. As always your photography skills are truly stunning and I do not say that lightly. You have a true talent for composition and really telling a story with your lens. On top of that your lighting is so beautiful as well and I know none of that is easy. Thank you so much for this and including us even though we missed the morning stages. You have really made something beautiful out of what was an extremely difficult and painful event. The memorial at the end was perfect. Sending big love and big hugs to you. 🫂💜🦄🌈
