Here is the tech bulletin from Subaru. static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2018/MC-10153610-9999.pdf Sounds like you need to be covered by one of their warranty packages.

Funny thing, as AAA gets all their test info connected at the battery terminals...Makes you wonder just how accurate they are.

It’s one of four things. The two main causes are: PGM-FI SOFTWARE UPDATE NUMBER 09-050. 2nd main cause: aftermarket starter causing voltage issues. The rest of the causes: could be a bad fuse, not blown, but a bad one. It could also be that your ABS module in the passenger side of the engine bay is bad and needs to be replaced. Or sometimes could simply be just the sensor

@@dannyvenegas3086 there’s a video on KZbin about it, look up “2008 Honda accord crankshaft position sensor fuse location” and it should be a video by a channel named “free car repair” it’s in the fuse box under the hood, 15amp fuse on the long plastic clear fuse

Well, I hate to tell you, BUT...I have this problem with my 08 Accord. I've replaced the starter with an OEM one. Replaced the crank position sensor with a HONDA one at the dealership. Replaced the PGM-FI Main relay. Replaced a worn out 02 Sensor upstream, had the update from TSB and the problem PERSISTS....Also replaced the battery with the exact OEM battery it needs. SO WHAT THE HECK IS IT??????

Always best to bench bleed off the vehicle. Bench bleeding on the vehicle can often lead to trapped air remaining in the master cylinder that cannot be removed. Bench bleeding the master cylinder off the vehicle will ensure all air is removed from the master before installing it on the vehicle. If the air is not completely removed from the master cylinder prior to installation this will result in a low, soft brake pedal.

Best info I seen yet on this subject. Tapping on it helps a lot if you have small bubbles stuck in the boar.
@Dnasty1
@Dnasty1 Жыл бұрын
Very interesting, I've never seen it done this method but this looks much simpler (and cooler) than having to keep pushing with two hoses returning to the reservoir. Is there a definite way to know if this has gotten out all the air completely? I know the other method you can see the bubbles get less and less but this is more based on your judgement?

@@NextLevelAutoDiagnostics I am a Journeyman mechanic of 36 years.. I never worked on fords at all.. I only knew they switched ignition systems yearly... Well.. I finally got to work on this and after looking the wire terminal was completely corroded at the "s" terminal so it lloked like no wire was there, but after doing basic tests I found there was a wire there and snapped up and was hidden. The only reason I looked on youtube because it made no sense.

This is great to know. I've replaced my battery and alternator thinking something was wrong. I thought I was having a voltage drop somewhere. I'm going to replace the ECM just to be sure. My battery drops down to 13 Volts so I want to make sure there ECM is not an issue as well. Used of course.....

This just happened to my 2016 ody im at the dealer now. I have the HondaCare warranty and theyre covering it minus deductible but the service writer had to call honda and discuss if it was covered. The warranty covers the alternator but not gaskets seals belts etc... So if the gasket goes bad and the subsequent leak ruins the alternator its theoretically possible for them to deny warranty coverage and the language in the hondacare contract clearly allows them to do that. Ive had many cars with oil leaks none of them ever killed the alternator even when they were visibly covered with crud. This one only had traces of oil in the area.

Thank you so much for this information. My alternator output with load test is reading 12.98 - 14.5 volts on the 2018 Nissan Rogue. The battery reading drops to 11.85 volts in 24 hours meaning it might be time for a new battery. Any suggestions?
