RIP Mr. Fernando Valenzuela. Thanks for the great baseball memories, even though I am not Dodgers fan(I was a Fernando Valenzuela fan). My family & I were on vacation in LA & in attendance @ Dodger’s stadium on 6-29-1990 when he pitched his no-hitter.

Lo siento. It's rare to find a fierce competitor combined with a nice man. Fernando was that. The Dodgers were one of the great professional sports franchises before he got to L.A. Fernando incorporated all of Mexico, and made things better for Spanish speaking people. Fernando did not set out to be a hero, but he sure was one. Descansa en paz.

I cried when I heard the news. So many great memories. I remember as a kid my parents watching the game. We would set up our tray tables in the living room so we could eat and watch the game. My dad would be so into the game especially when Fernando would pitch. Since then I became a Dodgers fan.
