whoa.... some of your questions could use TWO of the answer choices, depending on tense.

Question; #24: In American English, answer A would be preferable. #27: American English would be answer A. #30: American English would use answer A if referring to her precise body location (directly on the edge), and answer B to refer to a general descriptive location. Hard to claim only one correct answer.

Question; #2: To "gather" means to pick up and collect scattered items and place them in their proper place -- the same as "tidy." #7: Answers B, D also logically correct. #14: Answers B, C also. #18: Answer A also. #19: Answer B also. #20: Answer B also. Or answer D if the project will need to be shut down by the end of the month, whether it's completed or not.

Question: #8: Answer A is the more polite form, and thus the preferred choice. #12: Answer C states a possibility; answer B states an actuality, not just a possibility. So either could be correct. #16: The more polite and preferred form would be "May I..." #23: Answer A expresses a recommendation. Answer B expresses a possibility. So either would be correct. #24: "Must" and "has to" both express an obligation requirement, so either would be correct. #30: Answer A implies a suggestion. Answer B implies a possible obligation. Answer C inquires as to the possibility. So any could be correct.

Respectfully, it seems certain sentences are phrased in a manner that allows for more than one correct answer. Modal verbs often have very similar meanings, allowing for the possibility of multiple answers. I did like sentence #28, however, which was a clear example of only one suitable answer. Others, though, seemed less focused. Question: #1: Answer B also logical. #12: Answer B if your recommendation is very strong. #16: Some parties are BYOB (bring your own bottle), in which case answer C. #19: Answer C also. #23: Answer B also. #25: Answer A, if you are almost certain about when you met. #29: Answer A also.

Question: #4: The expression would be "make up her mind." #10: Answers A and C seem very possible, also. #17: Answer D implies their sole source of enjoyment was the time spent actually "in" the cabin. Answer A would imply their source of enjoyment may well have extended beyond the confines of just the cabin itself. #28: Answer D also. #29: The preferred word order would be "ran quickly."

Question: #11: Either A or C would be perfectly logical.

Question; #4: Totally unable to understand the reason for chosing answer D over the other choices. In fact, since most couches are often paired with a table or a lamp, my choice would be answer A or C. Question: #10: I believe answer B is equally logical, and D as well. #28: "... respect for your elders."
@mikekurtz58685 ай бұрын
I agree with all of your answers except for question #1. Where would "in" a table be, Inside the drawer? Seems unlikely. Even "on" a table doesn't seem like a well-chosen place to "hide."

Question: #16: Obviously, you intended answer A, rather than D.

As many of the sentences are worded, multiple answers could easily be considered as also correct. #4: B also. #5: C also. #7: A also. #10: B also. #19: B also. #20: C and D also. #22: All answers. #23: B and D also. #24: B also. #25: B also. #29: B also. To "conclude" is to "end." #30: Answer D also. We have no idea just how weak the bridge is.

Question: #11: If the house is actually on the sand, then yes answer B. Otherwise, answer A. #12: Answer B is correct. Since all museums contain exhibits, we would use "at" to refer to the building itself, with the understanding that of course exhibits would be displayed. Similarly, we would say "They are showing an interesting movie "at" the cinema, not "in the cinema." #15: Perhaps a better choice would be "over the fireplace," or "on the mantel." #18: This one's a bit trickey. If a college student asked a classmate where a friend of his was, and the answer was "in the library," that would be considered correct. If, however, the library was far from them, then the answer would be "at the library." So, "in the library" when referring to a close-by facility, and "at the library" if the facility is farther away. (English grammar is not for the faint-hearted.) #19: If the expression "on the corner" is all that is necessary to specify or identify the location, then answer A. If, however, more precise information is required, then for example: "At the corner of Elm and Maple street." For #19, I would think "on the corner" would be correct. #26: Answer A to refer to a general location. See #27 which is correct. #28: If you are already at or near the playground, then answer C. If you are some distance from the playground, then answer A.

Question: #7: Answer A implies a suggestion or encouragement, while answer C implies a possibility. So either could be correct. #21: Suggested rephrase: "He must have arrived at the airport by now." #28: Answer C far more frequently used -- a somewhat more polite form of encouraging doubt.

Question: #3: "quickly soon" is redundant. Either one would be correct, but not both. #7: Not sure what the sentence is trying to say. "The company's revenue took precedence over all other business matters"? #16: I believe any if the choices could be regarded as correct. #28: Answer C seems preferable.

Respectfully, certain questions are worded in a manner that allows for more than one correct answer. Whether something could/might, or should/must happen is not always clearly expressed. Some examples #6: Answer A or B would be grammatically and logically correct. #9: All answers would be grammatically and logically correct. #24: As the sentence is worded, answer C also. #27: Answer A also correct. #28: All answers logically correct. #30: Answer A also.

Nice collections Seriel No 20. The super market is on the corner of the street is the right answer. We can say that "The super market is at the corner of two streets". 'At' -- We use for more specific locations
