Basically a coil uses alternating current (ac) to create an electro magnetic field, when a magnet goes through a coil the coil powers up kind of like how if u spin a motor u can use it as a generator and theres another coil in ur phone that recieves that electromagnetic stuff and starts charging, so it should be easy to make a universal charger

But does the transmitter coil have a tiny transformer to even step down the 220V/120V to something lower while increasing the frequency from 60Hz/50Hz to something higher?
@costacoffee4life6652 ай бұрын
DC is always 0Hz since it is bistable.

So here mutual induction occurs ?
@sasuke-cm8fd Жыл бұрын
Yes mutual induction.... mostly based on the concept of a transformer and a full wave rectifier with current filter

@sasuke-cm8fd Жыл бұрын
Now kids u must be wondering How is iphone able to convert the ac to dc? Welll inside the iphone the secondary coil is connected to a full wave fast rectifier which converts the ac into dc very efficiently....
@costacoffee4life6652 ай бұрын
That was my first question. I am highly sceptical that the receiver induction coil is receiving AC current and that an integrated power supply (including step down transformer )exists within a smartphone form factor of less than 10mm. This would negate the need for the wireless charger or even a wired power supply. The device would likely overheat and set on fire before it could convert 230Vrms AC to stable 5V DC current.
