Love that you’re doing these videos on the Streety. I have a 24 cosmic yellow STRS. I noticed you put on the Domino grips and I’ve been wanting to do that since I’ve had them on my other bikes but i didn’t know if the 7/8” was gonna fit. Was it a pain getting the stock ones off?

Thanks, much appreciated!! We don’t have much to go off of so figured I’d help us newer triple owners out at bit! Yeah Domino grips are awesome and yes the oe grip are a complete pain in the ass to get off it took me a couple of hours as both side have plastic tubes, not just the throttle side and triumph melts them on from the factory!!! I had to cut them off little by little with a razor knife and didn’t end up putting the clutch side tube back on because the domino grip only fits over the bar itself and is too small in diameter to slide over the tube on that side and as for the throttle side the tube had small hooks that helps the oe grip stay in place so I had to cut all those off and sand the throttle tube smooth to get the domino to slide onto with some hard hold hairspray. Definitely the worst bike to change the grips on by far. Normally a 15 minute job, not the case with these triumphs unfortunately.

What has been your experience with the rapid bike evo after 6 months? I’m debating purchasing a dedicated tune and deleting the SAI system.
@dinkster_view8432
@dinkster_view8432 3 ай бұрын
@@arod944 immediately made the bike more responsive, the rapid bike software is a little confusing at first but they actually have training videos on KZbin to teach you the basics of saving maps, loading and saving the auto tune info to update the base map, etc.. within the fuel tables I’m sure you can have your bike dyno’d and adjust the base map off a dyno as well. All in all I’m happy with it, as I stated in the video would like to have gone dedicated tune but this is the next best thing imo because if I want to swap the exhaust (which I plan to in the future) I don’t have to retune the ecu just let the rapid bike change the fueling on its own for the newly installed exhaust and save that map. Definitely delete the SAI, nobody needs that emissions crap.. it’s useless. Lol
@arod944
@arod944 3 ай бұрын
@@dinkster_view8432 thanks for the feedback. After researching, it looks like a hybrid approach is the best way to tune these bikes. Apparently when tuning the lower RPM fuel table, just adjusting the ratios with tune ECU results in no change. So a piggyback system is beneficial in the lower range for fuel correction as it will “over ride” the base tune.

Hola, I looked this info up for you: this block-off kit is an intervention aimed to aid the engine's electronic map to match the combustion chamber a/f ratio, ie. engine tune, in harmony with digital engine management of air intake volume, by not bleeding-off air intake volume. AIS passes some of this intake volume instead straight into the engine exhaust, for combustion of unburnt fuel that has been moved from the combustion chamber. Thus an AIS system perhaps runs fuel combustion out-of-true to parasitise the power demand in a self-fulfilling feedback loop. Deleting AIS also serves to prevent flame popping. Some unburnt fuel vapors are however passed to the atmosphere.
