As the booster is coming back, you can see the shock wave from the sonic boom come down through the launch smoke plume and then a couple seconds later it bounces off the ground and goes back up through the plume. Pretty dang cool.

With so many of these videos the person taking the shot has the camera on auto focus, and it keeps unfocusing. In this video I'm guessing it was actually set to manual focus, or it's just a better camera, because this might be the first of dozens of such videos I've seen where the video never goes blurry. And I like that the sonic booms of the hot staging ring was captured.

This was the newer iPhone 16 pro max. I literally got it a week before the launch. Main benefits over iPhone14 Pro Max I previously had was 5x optical zoom, but I honestly think the autofocus is better. It's always autofocus is always on , but you have to tap on the screen what you want it to focus on, to focus on an object. When I zoomed in 5x to get the rocket, I was tapping on the dot of light that was the rocket to focus on every few seconds. It worked amazingly well and thanks for the compliments!

It’s a tiny dot at 1km and I think I got up to 3km with this flight. Main thing is to not fly it behind anything and direct your antennas towards where you believe the drone to be.

@@ProjectGameVault did you get the RC controller with screen upgrade? If so, don’t be too concerned about connection loss as the range and connection stability is top notch. General guidance though: Watch the RC bars on your display when they get down to just a few or turn amber/red, turn around and fly back to you and you’ll likely never lose connection. Also, the software is pretty good in these where if you do lose connection, it will fly up (I think 10 feet) and do a RTH (return to home) until it regains connection. Only problem I had with my DJI Air 2 was I was under a tree canopy when this happened and crashed the drone (only loss was a few propellers though).

Wow, the lake is really low! Do us all a favor. Adjust your sensitivity levels so your turns and yaws are smoother. Sensitivity settings can be found under Main Controller Settings > Advanced Settings > Sensitivity. Here you will find options to adjust your attitude, brake, and yaw movement limit sensitivities. Attitude sensitivity is how quickly your drone responds to controller input.
