There's a spinal doctor in Houston TX named Dr. Rex Marco that was recently injured in a biking accident. He had a cervical level injury, something that he'd operated on many times as a surgeon. He now sees things from a patient’s perspective and has learned firsthand the mistakes he'd made as a doctor previously. We will never fully understand anything in life until we actually experience it ourselves. He's going to be an amazing asset to the Spinal Cord Injury community from here forward. The biggest prison ever is that of the Mind. Christ spoke much about the Mind in His teachings and I believe it's equivalent to man's Spirit. It resides in the "Upper Room" of the body/temple which is our head, the part of the body that contains the physical computer that operates the body. The Mind and the brain are two completely separate things, one is physical and the other Spiritual. These bodies are temporal and they will die at some point, but your Spirit is eternal and timeless. I believe that Father's Spirit resides within the Mind, the Spirit part of us that happens to reside in the brain. When this body dies your Spirit returns to Him. I can't explain what happens after that as I'm still learning about these things... I pray you're doing well Brandon, you seem to be a bright young man! God bless you!!!

Powerful message. I had an experience like yours but different. I prayed to God, I said, "God help me." and I turned around and there across the street on a cold snowy morning at 3:30 a.m. a man walking across the street smoking a cigarette and holding a Bible in his hand. A prayer was answered! He walked over introduced himself and helped get my frozen van open for me to go to work that snowy morning. This is a Christmas story I share every year. When God is in your life fear nothing, He is protecting you. Listen to Him. He will lead on a path you never ever dreamed of. God had used me like putty in the palms of his hands and worked wonders for me that I never dreamed of. Amen Brother.

Brandon, excellent! Excellent! Excellent! You are a success in the making! This is one SCI video that can be used in a rehab facility. First and foremost you spoke very clearly with no filler words like; um, ah, you know, etc. like other videos. You speak excellent! You must be new to this lifestyle which is fine. I noticed several things in your video to help you out to make life easier. I noticed you used a ladder type of device to get up in bed. How I get up from bed is with my right hand I grab the handrim of my chair and pull myself to the right pushing my left elbow behind me. Then swing your right arm over your chest to move yourself on the side and put your right elbow behind you then push up, For putting on your button shirt pre button it leaving the top two unbuttoned and just pull it over. Use your button tool to button up. For toothpaste I use a tube with a pop up cap. Put the tube to your mouth and squeeze a little bit of paste in then brush. I see you are going to college. That is one of the best things to do in your life. Never, never ever give up and earn that degree and get a job with the federal government at www.jobsusa.gov . When it is time to look for employment with the federal government this is the only organization that you must indicate on the online resume' that you have a disability because your resume' goes to EEO and they use a special hiring authority to bring your aboard. That’s a great idea. I worked with people in wheelchairs for 18 years and stuff like you have today was not out back then..
