I just want to point out that bottoming out isn't inherently fatiguing - if you aren't jumping around different builds/keyboards constantly, and you get used to the force required to actuate the keyboard you're using, you stop pushing down harder than you need to, even when bottoming out. Going from a Box Navy to a linear optical switch, I was typing too hard for a while, but then got used to the smoother, faster, lighter, shorter throw, and it's fine now.

This is truly a mod for HE switches!.. 😲You can adjust the actuation point to match the actual tactile bump of the rubber domes with the hall effect keyboards of today. I NEED these rubber domes (without the entire keyboard tho.. ) Someone needs to make these ASAP!.. Actually, this mod would go PERFECTLY with the Turtle Beach Vulcan II TKL Pro, as it has the compatible KeyCaps to begin with!.🤯

i dont understand the weights on the site. like does the grams that it shows, mean force from the top of the spring or the bottom out?? i want to get some slow springs for my tactile switches. but i want a really light feel. what should i get??

Is there anything that's like a combo of multi-stage and lengthened "slows"? I think I might like that poppy preload feel at the top, but I also kinda want some bottom-out protection once you get past the actuation point. I've currently only ever had basic bitch red (linear) and blue (tactile) switches and like the reds much more. Pretty sure in general I'm gonna be a linear enjoyer in the long term, especially because my 12 switch assorted tester came with a couple tactiles and they just feel like crappy linears that hang up/drag/scratch.

For anyone reading i wanna recommend making sure to press the stem down in switches before snapping housings together again. Reason being that apparently tactiles can have their tactility lessened or damaged if you dont make sure the stem is pressed in while reassembling, it damages the leaf springs tactile bump part. (Gazzew advises to do it this way and ive found that my best tactile frankenswitches are garbage unless i assemble em this way as well) This issue can be fixed or undone but i wouldnt suggest trying as it can be like working with black magic and ruin the consistency of your switches. On the opposite end of the spectrum however, one of my favorite linear style switches can be made by modifying the leaf springs of a tactile switch. You can even get a similar feel just by adding lube to the stems where they contact that bump to make them feel more linear.

The boards with trackpads have the dome sheets. Please don't just buy boards to scavenge the dome sheets though unless you're going to give away the rest of the board, or repurpose it. TG3 boards are great boards in their own right. Not all TG3 boards even have discreet switches. The ones with this style of case do.

Pretty nice. I could use these. I got linear keyboards and I don't like linear, especially Razer yellow switches. This could be a nice fix. Will need to hunt down. I'll reach out to some law enforcement connections and see what they know as well.
