On my 2007 tundra same problem disconnect ground from battery 30 sec reconnect started up and run

same here, battery disconnected/reconnected and it starts fine. But its happened 3x in a year still have no idea why. Anyone else ??

I have the same exact problem on my tundra, but when I hooked up the scan tool it reads B2799 engine immobilizer system. I took the key off and on again and it worked, probably because I usually leave the key in at work

Not sure what the clips are called but they are part of the lift support. Not sure if you can buy just the clips.

Is the lift support supposed to make closing the tailgate easier(lighter) or slow it down when it's opened?

Definitely slows it down when opening so it doesn’t just slam down. As for closing it helps as especially if you pause it’ll resist somewhat falling back down, if that makes sense.

Stabilus is the brand. Part # 4B256726. Rock auto calls it a lift support.

I’m not sure how I’m going to get the bracket off that holds it on there. The screws are all rusted on it.

The two small screws that hold the module to the bracket or the stud that goes through the frame? If it’s the small screws can you get a dremel tool up there with a cut off wheel to grind the screw heads off? Wear eye protection! I can’t remember the location or orientation of the bracket. I’ll watch the video again.

Watch my other video. The fix for my problem was the fuel pump driver. It’s a small part located on the frame rail, drivers side near back tire.

Did you clean the mass air flow sensor? That could cause this issue too.
