Exactly. The money doesn’t mainly come from pros gemming everything. It’s mainly from the casuals who enjoy the game and buy those monthly gold pass. There’s very little incentive to get gold pass if you know the game is so hard that maxing things won’t guarantee performance anyways

How does adding hard mode to high legends affect you?

@@crab1018 it will not affect me, i like the way it is now. The problem is most of the "PRO" players(who gemmed all their bases and troops) are complaining the game is too easy. That is why supercell need to re-work hard mode for "PRO"people who wants more challenge

See, personally I've always been a defense oriented player. Like I want parity between defenses and offences. And it's undoubtable that over the years offence has gotten too strong, while the player base has only continued to decline. To me, I would ideally want the hit rates for the top players to be around 40%. Anything more and it makes regular wars much more likely to end up in perfect draws, which is not ideal. I distinctly remember playing the game when TH9/10/11 were max, and our clan would be hyping up each other and celebrating whenever someone who's practiced an attack strat managed to 3 star. This is hardly the case nowadays, especially if you're in an active clan which cares about wars and runs low to mid THs. At TH14 and under, not getting a 3 star is considered a failure, instead of a good attempt. And I don't think that is where I'd like the game to be. As for the players who will always be bad at the game, "most players", these are also often the players who would login once a day to do an attack or two and then not care about the game, and they are very less likely to become long time financial supporters of the product, and also very unlikely to notice a small nerf here or there. Also, this notion that most players are "casual" or "bad" needs to stop, especially in the context of people commenting on YT videos about the game. You cannot consider yourself to be a casual or bad player if you're specifically looking at or taking the time out to look at guides and discussions of the game online.

Oh, its the same with football. They should allow to touch the ball with the hands, so everyone can carry it over the opponents goal line. That would be fun and my granny finally could score a goal herself.

@@common_undead There is no way that making defense stronger, woukd increase the player base, just the opposite. They learned, with TH16, that players want a stronger offense. They even stated that, in their interview. Nobody quits, because they 3 star too much lol. They quit when the game be once frustrating and they fail a lot. Again this is a tablet game, basically meant for you average game player/kids.
