It is obviously these same Canadian companies that are ripping off Australia currently. In South Australia where I live a company called Origin has run the power here historically as a retailer who would purchase their power from SA power. In 2019 roughly a new act was released around electricity that was superseded by the proceeding one. I believe because of corruption around metering. This led to Origin separating its metering operation to a separate company and selling it to a Canadian buyer. . Canadian company also invested billions to the government for the insulation of smart meters. They have created new industry in order to rip us off with a new act. Currently it's a grey they are using to rip every one off. Every day I actively watch them make my system malfunction in order to cause me financial hardship. And the terrible thing is that the government only researchers to the depth of what the metering company says. Also this responsibility of metering being put into the hands of financial venture businesses, is despicable.. My system worked brilliantly until the smart meter was installed and since then over time and especially lately I have seen a gross malfunction constantly and tried to seek help and not got any help anywhere and it's been over year now.

Definitely saw the wrist/arm mishaps when my sisters played; Yikes and Ouch ! I coveted them 😂😂😂😂

No electric smart meter can monitor your shower it not connected to the water supply .smart meter can only monitor energy use . There are no other data collection system. Not sure what this man thinks is being fitted but it a digital meter with a mobile sim card that the energy provided dials into and the meter reading is taken there is no other programme being run the is no over the air updates. Its a very badic piece of tech.

That multi plug will make no difference as you can unplug or use the switch on the socket dont waste your money. Standy does not use that much energy use the off button on appliances

You do not sign up for yearly estimated plan . You sign up for a tariff per kwh . That can be split into eay monthly paynents or you can pay monthy for what u use. Sorry your not doing well with your facts

They are legally required as the roll out is a government policy that was passed by the law makers . The energy companies have until the end of 2025 to replace all analogue meters . So already you got it wrong the meter roll out is until 2025. The cost is covered by the standing charge. There is no up front cost as we all pay the standing charge.
