This is the one I have.... I think for almost 1 year and 1/2 at this point... after 6 mos I changed the 3 filters except for the RO membrane... which I haven't changed yet... as of now, I still get 1ppm when I make a gallon of water.... I keep thinking... should I change these when it's still reading such low ppm?
@Glasshouses-tp7gmАй бұрын
@One-Day-After-Another If you want it as pure as possible, change it if you want. I don't plan on changing it anytime soon. I only use it when the water gets low. I will probably buy another replacement kit just in case.
@One-Day-After-AnotherАй бұрын
@@Glasshouses-tp7gm I have the replacement kit... all 4 filters ready to change... Back around 8 mos ago when I change the 3, I felt like I was doing surgery...I've yet to find a video of someone actually doing a filter change...to follow along... so I guess I'll have to wing it...

Those totes are great ! I use them also. Do you have a dehumidifier down there ?
@Glasshouses-tp7gmАй бұрын
I do. I learned it the hard way at our old place. Added 9 more tanks and the humidity was through the roof during the winter time. But I didn't have a proper drain system at the old place to dump the water. Every 2 days i had to dump the water catcher. At this place, I got one running 24/7 draining into a sump. It stays around 45% humidity with average 70f temps. I still get breeding activities from my fish.

Any advice on keeping fry alive and growing
@Glasshouses-tp7gmАй бұрын
@andrewgonzales6655 it really depends on how you want to raise the fry. I personally like to raise the fry in a more natural setup. I am not a fan of constant water changes. Depending on how small the fry is, I would start by using any powder fry food or use live vinegar eels.

Id say you got a bit lucky the fish were ok. Never put a pair together in one bag, female has no where to go if male gets aggressive. And way to much water in bag and not enough air. Good luck with them! I have albino australe too!
@Glasshouses-tp7gm7 ай бұрын
I don't think the aggression was the least of my worries considering they were in the dark during shipping. I did have a nice pair of albinos, but they lasted a little over a week. Out of the blue, they just died. Ate just fine. They weren't cheap either. I got the pair and the WAKO convention last year. I am hoping the guy I bought them from is back this year and hopefully ai can buy more of the albino strain.

Too much water and not enough air
@Glasshouses-tp7gm7 ай бұрын
The bag was a little to squishy. So, that could very well be just that. On top of that, the seller shipped it out same day I purchased them. So, I am thinking not enough prep time for proper fish transportation.

Hello from my fish room channel in Chicago! I really appreciate seeing how you orchestrate your fish room. Navigating the "mess" part of the drill. Some real ingenuity there!

Thanks. I have since redone the drain pipe on the blackworms. It was just to noisy before. Now, it is much quieter and less splashing.

Are these bettas just basically living in those small breeder boxes?
@Glasshouses-tp7gm9 ай бұрын
As of right now, yes. I eventually plan on relocating them into a larger tank.
@nini666769 ай бұрын
@Glasshouses-tp7gm Oh ok. Just a suggestion, in a future video that would include those bettas if theyre still in those small breeder boxes, you could inform any beginner watching that a betta should be in a minimum of a 5 gallon by themselves. I feel like too many people already are misinformed on the tank size for these guys and your video isn't helping unfortunately. Not trying to be rude in any way, just want the best for these bettas!
@Glasshouses-tp7gm9 ай бұрын
@@nini66676 No problem. I have been looking at the cubed tanks from Petco. Funding is going to other places right now. I do plan on having a more dedicated Betta stand for housing/breeding section.
