In your "They Lied To You About These VW GTI's!" you mention that the base system in the GTI sounds better than the type R, but here in the video you talk about how the subwoofer in the Type R is a lot better than the HK one in the Golf R......is the GTI base sound system better than the Golf R one?

You're welcome brother and yes the base GTi sound system sounds better than the Golf R system in my opinion, I was wrong about the Type R though because at the time at filming that video I didn't realize I could activate the Bose center speakers and once I did the sound improved big time!

I was in same debate. Golf R was nice but felt like a regular car. Type R feels special. I was surprised tbh since it’s 4cyl and fwd. I have other cars that scratch the luxury and speed itch.

Hey great channel! I have 23 mk8 R and heard you mention in this video that you have a spare tire. Is that spare a donut or another full sized tire? Could you share some info? I cant find anything that's available for the MK8, only the MK7.5 has a donut kit that will fit in the well. Appreciate any help. Peace

Hey whats up it's a donut and it's the donut that comes from factory for the GTI 380 edition so it can fit onto the Golf R as well.

You’re the only person on the entire internet claiming a MK8 Golf R is slower than an FL5 Typer R from a dig, let alone a tuned one. Sorry the 0-60 test is a skill issue. Stage 1 DSG R is a 3.8 sec car, and manual is still 4.5 sec easily. There is a lot of info on this.

Dude every test I've seen where people test the manual Golf R they are getting low 6's and high 5's the DSG is the one that gets 4.5 and 3.8 tuned.

I think that you're looking at DSG times cause the best manual gearbox time's I've seen is 5.5 with the manual gearbox and that's with them using Michelin Pilot Sport tires and doing aggressive launches, and that's after doing it over and over and abusing the clutch to get that time, I know I can get a 5.5 as well but don't want to put much abuse on the car as it is my car and not a press car.

@@RaceCarFriends Just like you, I got mines white. I do wish it would have come with leather seats but for some weird reason CX-3 and CX-30 don't have leather seats but CX-5 and above do. Considering on paying a separate amount to change the seats to leather.

@RaceCarFriends I used to own a 2005 Porsche Boxster, great car. No doubt the Type-R is the best fwd sports car today. Currently I drive a 2019 MX-5 Miata RF Club. Fun little sports car, or should I say go kart.😜 I thought about getting the Civic Type R but the ride is too firm gor me. However, now I've read you can swap the damper module from the Type-S for a smoother more compliant ride. Enjoy my friend. Peace.
