yes. testing it for use with Treadrack. First of all, this is a model to test the position where the servo motor generates sufficient force and the length of the arm.

why do you need a buffer if your filament winder is powered? some take up makes sense (like in the Bambu AMS). is this just for testing purposes and you expect to need less buffer later on?

How do you feel about TR + filamentalist vs Winchrack?
@V6CL5 ай бұрын
Filamentalist is easy to make. Easy to install and manage. It also takes up less space. The location of inserting the filament is inconvenient, but it can be improved. The number of brands using paper spools is increasing, and although such lightweight spools rotate on rollers, there is still some anxiety about them fall off, but they are excellent enough to offset that.
this is really awesome. and im glad to see it coming together.

can i use the slower motor ? i already have 50rpm
@V6CL5 ай бұрын
If it is slower than the unloading speed, the filament may become tangled.

Does this use the same motor as previous design? Sure seems to spin faster.
@V6CL6 ай бұрын
yes. same motor 5v or 6v, 300rpm. The smaller the diameter that touches the motor, the faster it will rotate. It is expected to probably cover up to 400 of the tradrack's unload speed.

like, what are you doing with that left spool....... I just cantt
@V6CL6 ай бұрын
The rewinding speed varies depending on the amount of filament remaining on the spool. We tested whether the rewind speed matches the rewind speed of 300 set in tradrack. The left spool shows that the amount of filament remaining is low.
@FrankRoark6 ай бұрын
I really hope this is research for another rewinder. Even though I built one already (except for the slow boat electronics). You make cool stuff.

Of course, this is the method that will be applied in my winchrack v0.6. It will be refined a little more and released as a CAD file.

@@V6CL I'm new to mmu buliding and i have a doubt in building it. Do i need a separate MCU for mmu Or can i use single mcu which has 8 stepper driver (motor) like skr octopus or mks skipr? I can't get a 2 stepper board here as the cost is more than the normal mcus Any suggestions will be helpful

@@V6CLi mean is it possible to use single MCU for printer and mmu?
@V6CL7 ай бұрын
@@vamshikrishna9481 I think it would be a good idea to ask the tradrack designer about that. If you look at the config structure, you can see the part where you input the board serial and board pin. It's just my opinion, but there is no problem controlling tradrack even with a single mcu.

Some tips for fiber lasers with copper. Use the smallest lens.. ie 100 x 100 and not 220 x 220, this makes your beam spot smaller. Find the focus distance! Make the dot as small as possible by finding the exact focus distance using several techniques found on KZbin. Remember, fiber lasers work by heating up the material and vaporizing it, copper has high heat conductivity so it needs the smallest dot to get a high enough concentration of heat to vaporize.

I have seen several fiber laser machine video before, but they have different speed for each one. Idk what is the reason behind that one, does it depend on the engrave deeper or what?
@V6CL10 ай бұрын
This is because it is a technology that is not yet fully standardized. We are testing under various conditions, and in my case, the settings are very different from those in the video and are quite stable.
