@felixcorona13 I was going to do Red Robin, but $35 for a burger delivery was too crazy, so I'm doing McDonald's instead. 🤣 the book is part of the Abracadabra series. I will have a Booktube up tomorrow where I talk about the series. 😁

Awww! I know the feeling! I can never make any of my food taste as good as my mom's... and I don't think I ever could. I hadn't had frybread in so long and it definitely needs to make its way into my household more often as well. <3

So cute!!! Where did you find the napkins?
@KitchEmShow2 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! I think I found them at Michaels or Joanns. I wish I could remember, but it was a year or two ago that I bought them. I did link a couple of online options in the description, if you're interested. They're not exactly the same, but they'd work similarly. TJ Maxx and Home Goods always have cute party napkins, too, so if you're able to pop into one of those stores, you might be able to find some Halloween ones in their seasonal section. ❤️

How did you separate the flowers
@KitchEmShow9 ай бұрын
If the flowers are in a pre-made bouquet, I use a wire cutter to cut them. You can use scissors, but depending on how thick that wire is, it can ruin your scissors. If you have a set of needle-nose pliers, you may already have a wire cutter built in. Mine does, anyway. 😁

I tried this last night and they didnt come out so good old if it is bcuz the thread is to thick or what .. I use starch. 😞 what do yall recomend me
@KitchEmShow4 жыл бұрын
Oh I'm sorry it didn't work out for you! :( Did you buy a liquid starch or make it yourself? I use the Sta-Flo brand, which has a little more than just water, cornstarch, and soap in its ingredients. Also, what kind of thread did you use? Any lighter weight yarn-like string works well. The key is to make sure the string gets fully saturated and completely wet. The liquid starch will harden as it dries, so if the string isn't fully wet, then the string won't fully harden in all the spots. You can also use Mod Podge or similar product, but it will feel more plastic-like than string when it dries. Good luck!
@nancyrubio39624 жыл бұрын
@@KitchEmShow girl i try that starch and it didnt work for me 😞 i used a regular yarn the ones that they sell at walmart i even tried sitting yhe yarn so it can get soak and wet and nothing .. I tried glue with a little water ..uuff

Are they strong enough to hold a little bit of candy
@KitchEmShow5 жыл бұрын
They might be, depending on what kind of candy and how much. If the strings are dense, with little space between them that is, it should be okay. If this works for you, please let me know! I might try this next Halloween! :-)

About how many balloons did you use? Looks like fun. Ty
@KitchEmShow5 жыл бұрын
Nellie Campbell I used about 10 for a short garland to use on my staircase with each Jack Skull being spaced about 10-12" apart. I think you can gauge it based on your personal preference. I used a medium sized balloon but didn't inflate it fully. Hope this helps! :-)

@coletaylor83656 жыл бұрын
I don’t recommend it, it wasn’t easy, I bought all the supplies from hobby lobby ad wasted my money on it. The string does not go around the balloon easy. But maybe it’s just not my thing. Edit- Try putting modge podge on before. You’re hands may get a little sticky but it was easier for me. And wait about 8 hours before popping it
@KitchEmShow6 жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear it didn't work out as well as expected in the first time around. Sometimes what works for me when the string slips off is to add a little bit of the corn starch to the balloon and let it get just a little bit dry so it's sticky - sorry I didn't include that in the video, but I'm glad to hear that the Modge Podge trick works for you! :-)
