I think the dedication to consistent uploads is great, but I think the videos would greatly benefit from some more editing to cut out dead air or moments that arent related to phasmophobia and/or the videos topic. :))

I've actually been deliberately leaving in more "dead air" because I wanted more buildup to scary/exciting moments but I, perhaps, have over done it. Some people have also said they like the side tangents where we talk about something else but maybe I should keep only the shorter ones.

I do sort of agree and others have told me that, but at the same time I never know what to call them since the same sorts of things happen in all of the videos. I feel like I would start repeating them pretty quickly or using different words that mean essentially the same thing. Episode 1 - Rum died and we laughed! Episode 2 - Cave died and we thought it was funny! Episode 3 - I died and they all made fun of me! Maybe I need to be more creative or just accept a certain degree of repetition.

While a raid is active, for every enemy you kill another will spawn in it's place. When it says the raid is over, then no more enemies will spawn and you will just have to clear up those enemies that remain. So The Ground is Shaking raid consists of two Trolls, but because you guys got one troll down so fast and did so while the raid was still active, a 3rd Troll spawned to replace the one you killed. Unless they are doing major damage to your base, sometimes it's worth kiting mobs around your base until the raid ends and then killing them. The other option is to kill as quickly as possible if you are farming/require mats, like entrails from Draugr - you haven't discovered the recipe yet but entrails are used in another food recipe that again will be an upgrade to your current meals. You are correct a lot of trees in the Swamp are Indestructible and they will also give the 'too hard' message if you use the Stagbreaker (it has quite a large aoe radius). Mining in the crypts is much more efficient. You may need to go out and find a different swamp, the first crypt you guys explored was very small, but you do get much larger crypts. The Wishbone that Bonemass drops is used for the Mountains. Each boss tends to give you something you will need to progress in the next biome. Great episode :)

Gz on the very smooth Elder kill. Now the difficulty of the game ramps up, the Meadows and Black Forest are considered easy biomes, a learning curve if you will. The swamp denizens and especially the swamp boss are more challenging. Time to up your food/potions production!!! Use poison resistance potions when you go in the swamp, the potions are preventative rather than restorative. Each biome also gives you new food items, keep an eye out for yellow flowers in the Swamp. The Stonecutter means you can now build using stone, a stone wall is far more resistant to attacks than wood.

Gz on first Serpent kill. I know it doesn't seem like much now, but Serpent Stew is one of the best foods you can get (comparible to some end game foods), I promise you it's worth hunting them. As soon as you get the next metal upgrade, make the new cooking rack and cook the Serpent Meat - once cooked it combines with other ingredients to make the stew.

For your 'shrine' the signs are hard to read in black, but you can change the colour of the text to make it more obvious. When you place a sign before typing any text type <color=(insert color here)> and then type the text you want e.g. <color=red> will give you red text.

If you want to train your combat skills, there's nothing better than building a Greydwarf farm and kill the monsters yourself. I usually build a hut with its respective portal inside next to the modified greydwarf spawner .There are lot of tutorials about greydwarf farms
@MultiplayerWithLordCalvariam
@MultiplayerWithLordCalvariam Жыл бұрын
Probably an unpopular opinion but I generally don't like "farms" and other ways of automating resource gathering or gaining experience/skills. I feel it takes away from the game experience when you just automate a part of it away. Exceptions would be games where automation is the point, like Factorio for example.

Once you get two iron you will be able to craft and stonecutter and with it stone floor, walls , etc wich are ideal for outdoor structures because they are stronger than wood, waterproof and wont get damage by the weather

Using core wood log beams as walls will give you the vibe you are looking for in a hut , placing a portal near Pines linked to your base is a great and faster way to gather core wood much better than the cart , just place a chest next to the portal , put all the core wood there and take it in your inventory trough the portal once the chest is full ,the same method can be used to gather all kind of resources except ores
@MultiplayerWithLordCalvariam
@MultiplayerWithLordCalvariam Жыл бұрын
We do work on getting personal portals in future episodes so that we can zip back to base when we are exploring or collecting resources. That doesn't really happen until a certain enemy is defeated.
@bluestarseed6705
@bluestarseed6705 Жыл бұрын
Guys i highly suggest you to dig a pit all around your base territory, (maybe making earth walls all around too by raising the ground too) with this you will prevent most of the raids from getting in and destroying your buildings, orchards or killing your tamed animals , also with this you can place beehives directly on the ground because your base will be extremely safe. Another tip , a full set of Troll armor LV3 is way better than bronze armor until you get the iron armor or the root armor
@MultiplayerWithLordCalvariam
@MultiplayerWithLordCalvariam Жыл бұрын
I've seen some videos showing off those earth walls but I almost feel like that is cheating. Not actually cheating of course, but I like the idea of having to actually defend the walls because if you don't, then the enemy will get in rather then just having indestructible walls.

When you get close to the Island the Trader is on, then a bag will appear on your map (or on the map of those that are exploring). So you don't have to explore every Black Forest inch by inch as the bag shows up for quite a distance. However, as you Googled the information already, you can also use a site to generate your world map and show the location of the Trader and all bosses/POI's.

In the future, we do end up using the website to find Haldor but I don't really want to use it for anything else. Feels like it would take away from the game if we just let the website tell us where everything is.

Serpents are easily killed with bow and arrow, if killed in the ocean the scales they drop sink to the ocean floor, but the meat floats!!! Serpent meat gives you ridiculously good food and this makes them worth hunting. Although the scales they drop give a shield, the meat is by far the most useful for food. You will need metal obtained from the Swamp to be able to cook the meat though. Now that you have encountered leeches and your friend encountered a blob (Swamp biome) and in each case you guys took poison damage, perhaps it's time to look at what resistance potions you can craft/ferment.
@MultiplayerWithLordCalvariam

I know you guys were doing it slightly already, but def make sure to dig out the copper beneath the surface level. Like dig deep to where the ground is above your head. I think like the easiest way for me was digging around the surface copper and going down around it to like kinda carve out the vein, there's so much more under it, similar to how like an iceberg would be in the sea.
@MultiplayerWithLordCalvariam
@MultiplayerWithLordCalvariam Жыл бұрын
I've done that to some degree, like you said, but then again maybe I'm still not digging deeply enough. I've thought about going back to some of those veins and just keep digging until I find something but I think I've got all of the copper I'll need for a while now.

Building in Valheim is colour coded - Blue = grounded i.e. safe to build from, the further away from the ground you build the colours change to show stability - so blue to green to yellow to orange to red (varying shades in between e.g. lighter green/dark orange etc). The reason it first shows as green and then eventually turns to red is it takes the game a few seconds to calculate the distance from grounded pieces and change the colour accordingly. Your friend is building an elaborate support system, when in fact Valheim doesn't need such structures. Simple supports in key areas will give what is needed, some Core Wood (stronger than normal wood) would help. Maybe do an outline so Core Wood Poles on all 4 corners of the build (make sure they are grounded = blue) join them all at the top (when the roofing starts) again with core wood, so giving you a support frame. Or maybe a some Core Wood beams in the central part of the house reaching up to roof to support it at it's highest peak. You did hear a Wolf (I heard it on the recording) which means you were close to (or at the bottom of the Mountain). The Mountain is the 4th biome and similar to the Plains everything in there is going to be extremely difficult for you to take on with the gear/weapons you have at present. You will need the new metals from the 3rd biome and progressing through that before you can tackle the Mountains (plus some meads to help). You are doing well with the Troll kills, a tip I hope you find useful, try to roll into them rather than to the side, as you get under their reach (thus avoiding the odd side swing that occasionally hits). You asked why you had no stamina, you had the wet debuff (a reduction to both health and stamina regen) and no rested buff to compensate for this. The rested buff is so easy to obtain wherever you are, just pop down a campfire and sit next to it for 20 seconds, it really does pay to try and have this buff at all times. If at your base you can get additional comfort from items (extended time on the buff) things like being under a roof and having a bed/decoration items (a rug and banner will give you extra as will a chair and table) you should be around +9 to your comfort level at this point in your playthrough.

Anything you build, plant, or tame in Valheim is open to attack by enemies, so you do need to fence off your farming area if you want your crops to survive. I never thought that Carrot seeds respawn, but I have seen other players say they have found seeds in the same spot but the respawn is on a really long timer (rather than the usual 2 - 3 in game days). However, once you have grown some carrots you can replant them as 'seed carrots' which will give you another 3 seeds per carrot planted. It's a good way to build up a stack of seeds if when you harvest your carrots you then plant at least half back for seeds. Carrots will give you another good food item, so well worth the effort they take to cultivate. Farming is a big thing in Valheim to get you the best foods, so every biome following the Black Forest will give you more items you need to find/plant. Core wood is stronger than normal wood. Nice job on the Trolls 😀
