At 2:15, Corea does this beautiful tumbling descending line. It’s a few seconds long but expresses a lifetime of playing. Superb.

Great players that I don't want to listen to. Perhaps 3:13 was somewhat fire on the mountain. I can masterbate all by myself.

Very clear video… certainly some iconic players involved, with substantial contributions to modern music. Having said that, I must add that this some of the least inspired, boring noise that I have heard in a long time.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the technical brilliance of the man, I just find a lot of it flash for the sake of it and not in 'communion' with the point of the song.

Saw the NY show and was blown away by this solo. Sheltering Sky has been my go to soundtrack for lots of activities, currently, a long, strenuous Himalayan trek. I listened to it yesterday on endless repeat for 5 hours straight - no exaggeration. As much as I love Vai, I just don’t get the sweeping (mental) vistas that the original gives me.

With music I always have an idea of what might be coming up. Sometimes I'm right, sometimes wrong, but at least I have an idea. By that criterion, this isn't music to me because I have no idea.

Sad, in that they just couldn’t make their own album but had to play at the past. I didn’t see these (techno fascist) times coming until around the early 90s. This is not the fault of music, but rather on those that call themselves “music lovers”. Parents, public school teachers, etc. Any behavior not financially rewarding enough in the eyes of the public will soon find itself minus the time necessary to exhibit itself. But, we do wear our stupidity like a badge of honor on any given day.
