@@excelbig3545 wizden is the upstream, other servers merge wizden updates into them while making their own experiences. But wizden adding almost nothing new is just how wizden is, thats why i changed to goob and never came back, i think they could ask for other servers stuff?, but for some reason they don't, most of the time saw them talk about the lack of new content they always say its because they want to make sure everything works fine before implementing but like come on man its been 2 months. I know they having a bad time rn and im not the most informed on the situation of the people behind the game, but as a player i choose the alternative that brings me the most amount of fun, which is goobstation constantly shitcoded updates.

man try to review 30k PRs that change the structure of the code, add big features and so much and so forth wizden forks work only for themselves, while wizden is a body of ss14 so have some respect

I heard that Unitystation - a different attempt at SS13 sequel - failed because there was too much of a focus on features, and the backend stuff and code quality suffered as a result. There's so much stuff that is done behind the scenes that players will rarely see.

@@cerzix it is fun, the whole station teams up to kill you, but the antag i really want to see is blood cult, i will join them 100% of the time, they are basically revs but better, revs conversion is just antag license, cult conversion gives you the full range of powers, like there is no difference between roundstart and converted cultist, also you don't need to worry about metagaming because cultist straigh up become valid after they get enough people and cult stuff is dead obvius.

@@catfoodbob1 indeed, however people don't always wear the helmet or they use a normal one, just by knowing you need 5 hits to crit someone on riot, you can guess it would take a few more for someone with helmet and x1.5 if they have a shield

@@BevvRatBites it is still a new specie that can change the meta with their unique quirks, i dont believe they are nearly as strong as people think they are rn, experienced players can instadown any IPC without the need of contra, and in combat although they can tank a few more shots from normal guns they will heal super slow since they cant use chems and any ion damage will basically do AP damage against them, you can literally kill them with a disabler and they can't even EMP you because it would deactivate itself

@@terezi4real yeah i have previusly stated that it is TTS, i have no microphone IRL, the reason why i felt the need to clarify that i have no contact with goob personale is because it happes to be that some of the stuff i show either gets changed in 2 days, removed, buffed, etc..... point is i do videos about whats in the game at that time without any knowoledge if it will change soon or whats planned for the future.

@@4dmost991 that paragraph would be a lot cooler if there weren't so many grammar errors. I also do think heretics would do everything in their power to accomplish what Nar'Sie asks for them though. Siding with the syndicate as a means to an end or siding with NT as a means to an end both do make sense. The idea of a "vanilla" server is silly for a game like SS14, the game is open code and people usually take elements from other servers for their own. The game is more of a platform for people to build their own experiences in, sure most servers work in the general consensus of what SS14 is but calling a server the "vanilla" or the "upstream" should not be a thing, there is no vanilla, only whats more popular and therefore, the first thing new players visit.
