There is a Mario fan game called "Mushroom Kingdom Fusion" that uses this boss music.

This game is spoon awesome! I still play it today in my free time, especially with my brother. This has got to be my favorite Konami-made shooter, besides Jikkyou Oshaberi Parodius.

@BareknuckleRoo True, but it's truly a dynamic battle. It's never really the same...with most other bosses, there's a pattern and you'll know where to go every time. It seems like every time I play the Blaster Cannon Core, it's a different fight. It's really a genius design...

@bohottie Not really. It looks harder than it is in all honestly. Just takes practise learning to clear a path through the asteroids and using them to block/avoid shots.

Treasure should do another Gradius game. This one was near perfect. I just think think they should have added more weapons. Everything else...flawless. Konami put their baby in great hands.

I just realized... Blaster Cannon Core makes no sense. His cannons just come out of his body like that? Six of them? IMPOSSIBRU!!!
