Theoretical scenario on two earths that are literally same in the before state: A Thanos snap then removes one gender on earth 1 and the other on earth 2. Also assume, humanity wont fix the problem that no babies are born anymore. So latest in 120 years there wont be anymore humans on both earths. #1 No women anymore: Well, bad thing. We still got enough pr0n around to keep all men satisfied. But daily life? More or less same. No problems with infrastructure and whatever. Some deaths would happen prior due to workforce shortage in the health field and maybe even suicides would rise. #2 No men anymore: The first 2-3 days will probably be soooooooo good. But then sh*t goes down the drain. No more goods or if few goods delivered. Food will get scarce, water, power and other infrastructure things will start to crumble. Good luck gaining enough knowledge in just days and putting enough workforce into each sector. It might be doable, but not within at least a month. In the meantime, a lot of transport ships will crash into whatever. Planes and the ISS? Well, singular problems of some thousands which probably will die. A lot of deaths would happen prior to what they normally would be. Bonus with babies born: #1a: So, artificial wombs would be needed and genetic manipulation also. Shhould be doable within 120 years. Sure, the numbers of humanity would crumble to say 1-2 billion, but humanity would survive quite untouched in regards of technology and science. #2a: With sperm donors available, humanity would also prevail, bit in a smaller number. The deaths in scenario #2 would even rise higher as not 100% of all women could be allocated to infrastructure and stuff but also to making babies. Not all of that would be 100% happen as I described, but that would be the tendencies. It all might also be different due to region or country, maybe even different per city.
