If you mean defeating her the first time you meet her, it means you can progress through the game without having to explore the shrine and the second tower in the forest. Losing the first confrontation or voluntarily helping her means that going through both dungeons becomes mandatory instead of optional.

Yeah I gave up as a Warrior. It's just not feasible on Hard Mode, without going through 30-40 wakestones and every single curative I have. First form is fine, second I get one shot by almost every attack, with decent gear.

Easy mode, do not attack the giant doll (you got a point that clown is a better name), and use weaknesses like fire, wind, bow and holy (light ball helps Counter dark leyline) when merging to try not to run out of BP by burning out on first form. So much HP. Missile shield helps the party avoid some ranged attacks too.

Gelid Ruins, in the southwest part of the map. You'll have to help out the Mu clansmen with their migration and then talk to one of the villagers on the other side to get there.

Let's be honest, had the 7 heroes been 7 different enemies instead of just 1 you'd need to attack, you'd be out of luck, no? The fact that they all come together as only ONE target and don't even get 7 turns to attack every turn really puts them at a disadvantage, amusingly?

if your too slow killing them they get 7-14 turns in a row depending on your speed when all 7 heroes are out.

I was under leveled when I fought him, at the end when he pulled his giant clown I was almost dry of BP for I didn't even targetted the clown and went full force against Bokhohn, finished him but it was a close call, fun fight.

It coincides with the goal of keeping the Oath to shield the main body. So he gets to do both at once.

It shouldn't. Generation skip has a chance of happening after you defeat Wagnas, depending on how many other events you've cleared and battles you've fought beforehand. This scenario has a lot of potential fights.

there is equipment that comes with spells. Eris' Bow comes with Heatwave. The Male Final Emperor's Dayblade comes with Sunlight, etc.

It might depend on the order that you're tackling them. From what I hear, the later ones start out stronger the later in the game you face them. In my case, this was my third Hero fight on my third generation.

This is probably the best quest in this game since the og. Remake adds an additional scenario too. If for whatever reason the empire does not solve the conflict in Cumberland in the second generation, Georg is killed and becomes a ghost. Thomas is also killed and becomes a ghost waiting to be found. A hundred years later the rebel leader still has the name Sophia for a symbol of the first leader. (This is ftom og but I am sure that remake does this too.) However I think solving the problem within 2nd generation has the best depiction of this quest.

I've never actually played the original, but this remake is quickly rocketing up to becoming one of my most favorite games ever. I think for my eventual hard mode run, I'll want to experience what happens if I make it to each scenario 'late' or otherwise fail them and have to unfuck the situation in a future generation.

That was actually in the original, too. This is the "failure" scenario for Cumberland, and happens if you leave its borders at any point before Cyfreet is exposed as a traitor.

I still won using the Imperial Cross formation but yes, killing the Killing Machine is a top priority against Cyfreet himself I simply opted for stunning him Really liking the game so far

Thanks for this idea! I hate bringing white magic just for blackout. Big cleaves got the job done just fine. I didn't have the same equipment, but I got the same result with a ninja dual-wielding kokaiji katanas (sold in stores, earth elemental cleaves) with a gaia vest (5 sky arena wins, +65% non-magical earth damage). Luckily, no earth immunity in this fight. Trick slash canceled dark overture, and I finished with no damage.

There's sharks that will chase you and will probably catch you since they swim faster than you do, and they will kick your ass if you're underleveled. The specific route I take avoids them all.

What is your setup for tank? I see that you're lifestealing, immune to paralyze, and also immune to instant kill? How do you get this setup? If I do hemoring + ribbon, I don't have instakill protection, if I do ribbon + hope cross, I don't have lifesteal. Help!

I have Ribbon + Hemoring. The instant kill attack is considered physical damage, thus blinding the boss is enough to force it to miss.

I'm not 100% sure on the name since I don't play FFXIV much anymore, but IIRC it's the Skallic Jacket of Aiming. Untradeable gear from the Drowned City of Skalla dungeon. I think there's a craftable version of it now, but dyeing that version changes the color of the entire coat while leaving the sides alone, while dyeing the original jacket changes the sides and the thin straps at the edges of the coat (the blue parts you see on my character's coat) while remaining mostly white.

As far as I'm aware, you just need to complete all events in this world (and maybe you have to resolve all events in the best possible ways too). I think you have to be playing as Sigunas to trigger the Brutal version of the fight (my Diva run only ended up with the Hard version).

I've never seen such an effective tanking method! I only really used Reaper during the midgame desert/mountains part of my first playthrough and didn't really touch it again, so it's cool to see optimised usage of it!

I have an updated version where I managed to pull this off in Hard Mode too. I think the funniest clear I ever saw was someone running Warlock/Wizard, using the staff that heals and provides a defense buff on hit, and whacking themselves with it while letting Storm Stance counters do all the work.

It's been years and several things about this quest have changed as far as I'm aware, though I haven't replayed the game to see for myself. Like IIRC there's no fight with Sosiel and his brother together anymore. Trying to google around for you, I don't see anyone talking about being able to make Trevor one of your undead companions in a Lich run, so I assume it isn't possible.

That's a different world entirely, you see a part of it in the dungeon afterewards. The original homeland of the Lalas is on the Source. Do the Alolao Island criterion dungeon.

So... no chariot, basically this battle you have to chose between 3 strength charms or the demon petal dance for Hobrim... which to choose? EDIT: in the PSP version you can only get the demon petal dance form the female neutral sword master IF Catiua is not present in the fight, spoiler alert, to do this in hagia banhamuba when elder Faoroa ask you choose the option to either fight Catiua or not; if you say yes, this way she wont be present in the battle, unlike if you chose to not to fight her because in that case she will be present, pretty funny outcome, should be the other way around but guess it's the way of the game to punish you for your decisions.
