I haven't seen too much change in the vanity tops, most builders and remodelers are staying with lighter colors for the surfaces no matter what color the vanity is. Folks are installing stone (usually quartz) in the owner's bath and maybe a cultured marble in the secondary bath. That's what I have been seeing. Thanks for asking and watching!! Take care.

for flooring maybe stick with a matte finish instead of polished. Also bath mats for immediate areas around shower, tub or sinks. Thanks for watching !!

Nice video and pleasant narrative. Respectfully, I would encourage the homeowner/builder to rough- in plumbing for a full bathroom in any basement because it is sooooooo much easier than saw-cutting for drainage. The plan developer is usually an architect, and an architect can determine where a future bathroom would most likely be appropriately placed. 😊

Americans are crazy lol. That massive space under a house. Its basically another floor. No other country would have that as a basement. It would be made into another fully finished floor at build

We did this in our basement. Our reason is because we didn’t want all the up front cost of finishing the basement. We figured we could finish that at any time. So now we can plan, and save up to do it when we are ready instead of being stuck with a higher mortgage payment.

Interesting video. Just my opinion but I think ICF is the better choice than any kind of wrap insulation. Or having to build another stud wall to hide the concrete and a make it possible to use other types of insulation between the studs.

I prefer to do the trim work and paint prior to flooring. Positives include painters not getting paint all over the floors. You also save some money because the painters does not have to spend money on material to protect the floors. What are the negatives to doing it my way?
