Hi Gijs, thanks. Happy for your comment. In the past they eat fishes from agricultural "fish farms" and was a big problem. The farmers, the government and nature organizations got into a "win-win" agreement that the government will buy cheap fishes from the farmers and put them on specific water reservoirs on the pelicans migration route ... it seems to work ! In the North of Israel they eat from a natural reserve lake/swamp (Hula nature reserve) and in Israel center (Hefer valley) from water reservoirs with fish. There is some more natural places they can eat but in small numbers. Wish you a happy weekend, Roni:.
