Back when men were men and Ballinasloe horse fair consisted off being fingers deep in a young wan and looking at a proper shtallion. None of this fairy stuff that ya see nowadays. Keep at it, buzz goes on!

I can't believe that cruel man beating the poor horse to make it canter uphill pulling a caravan, you could see the poor horse was tired already, but he kept beating it anyway, I hope this poor horse has been taken off of that man that's if you could call that individual a man, I hope you get caught and charged with animal cruelty

Listen to the experts like equigirl, she has the trapper keeper with the Percherons running through the snow, it doesn't get more legit than that

Cheers for this! Loving this video! It's class! Great to see a video of the camp! Is there any chance you could send me the unedited footage of the horse-drawn wagon camp (featured at 2:30-7:10)

I noticed they don't carry water for the horses if it hot weathers. I have gypsy triad from my dad. As I am a gypsy pagan

Watching it took 28 years... The actual Horse Fair footage was worth watching (for a while), the parade and the beginning was pretty good too. The old time music, fortunately, did not last a long time. Thank goodness for the Mute button. Still, it showcased how different things were back then, well in 1992.

The most beautiful horses in the world! And they're perfect family pets....so gentle and amazing around children. If I was to ever visit England, I'd definitely have to visit this Appleby fair place! All these gypsy vanners all in one place..how amazing would that be?? Those people are so lucky to get to own these beautiful creatures and then get to show them off! I'll own a gypsy vanner one of these days. 😍

That waggon is stunning 😊 The skill and workmanship that has gone into creating it is outstanding. If it was mine I'd be terrified to take it outside let alone go travelling horse drawn 😊 Fabulous video thanks for posting I'm now 2 hours behind with my schedule, but never mind it was worth it lol 👍

I live in an area where there are a lot of Amish. Whenever we see a horse and buggie clip-clopping by, my mother always remarks about how much simpler their world is and how nice it would be to go back to those days.

Is it common to drive sideliners without blinkers? There are quite a number of them driven like that in this video. Also noticed that that a few of them were trotting in slack tugs, leaving the other horse to do all the heavy lifting.
