Personally, I don’t want a crazy expensive or flashy car but I do want a vehicle I actually enjoy driving and I feel getting a 100 hp beater car would make me feel so depressed. So for me something like the Volkswagen GTI seems to be a good fit, but I do agree buy every vehicle in cash. if you can’t do that, you can’t afford it.

I would like to add that most of my generation buys cars they can’t afford and eat out every day, I think a lot of my friends would be doing a lot better if they cared. I don’t even make alot of money but I live like a king because I understand how much fast food and a car payment would cost me. I’m 25 and having kids wasn’t on my mind before I cared about the economy. I’m in the mind set where I want a wife that wants to work and not just stay home, Double income with no kids till 30 you would be set up financially to be able to raise that kid and be 10 times more emotionally mature to be able to raise a better kid.

I graduated high school in 2015. I did enroll in a US Government class that touched the surface of taxes and the stock market. It wasn’t until I got my first job as a waiter that my boss introduced me to investing. Since 2017, I’ve been reading and investing. Mostly self taught but I without her, I wouldn’t have known. Great channel, thank you for the videos

Back when I was in college 25 years ago I had a call center job paying $8/hr during the summer. My rent was $150/month in the frat house. My tuition during the school year was ~$3,000/year gross but about $2000/year after a scholarship that anyone could get for having a B average. Consider what has happened to the cost of all of these things in comparison to the pay of an entry level/college job and tell me younger people don't have it much worse off today. Inflation is the quietest of thieves it happens to slowly that very few even notice it happen. Until the past five years where it got absolutely turbocharged.

MS is right. The path to wealth is either family, luck, or talent. The painful part is when people don't recognize their own good fortune, and expect you to be capable of what they've succeeded at. And will either talk down to you, or give advice that works for them but not you lol. But all you can do is fell the pain and move forward.

It should go without saying: think of yourself like a contractor - you're providing a service and they're paying you for it. Whether it's a salary or fee payment is not the point. Take a landscaper for example - they have multiple customers. Do you think any of them rely on 1 or 2 customers to sustain their livelihood and business? They have multiple customers who will use or not use their services, depending the needs and wants. And they'll work to gain more. You should treat any company the same way. The key is having multiple sources of income, work as many jobs as you see fit. This "company loyalty" thing is silly.

You're missing two big huge issues in your analysis: women's reproductive rights, and the attempted insurrection. There's a significant percentage of the population that will be voting for Harris based on either or both of those issues, even if they themselves feel they fared better economically under former President Trump. Then then are those of us who followed the Trump presidency pretty closely and remember a lot of the things that he did. For me, the policy of separating children from their parents at the border in the Summer of 2018 was the last straw. Those tactics were straight out of 1940s Germany. My feeling is that if he came for them, some day he's going to come for me, and I am working tail off right now to do everything I can to make sure he doesn't get that chance.

Company loyalty is absolutely a scam. That is why I've contracted most of my career. I will work alongside FTEs who are paid based on a 40 hour workweek 50+ hours/week and even sometimes 60 hours/week, but the difference between me & them is I'm hourly and I get time and a half beyond 40 so am compensated fairly. They get a pat on the back and some vague possibility of promotion several years down the road & with each promotion comes ever more responsibility. If you aren't on the management track you are insane to buy into the loyalty BS. If you are on the management track good luck--most don't wind up making much more than me if any more but a few do. You have to be willing to really work for it and be picked and its possible--remember at every level moving up there are more qualified applicants than jobs. And this assumes the company doesn't periodically do layoffs which many do. The higher up you go the harder it is to lateral or recover from a layoff too.
