I know... like I understand that it's one's choice whether to get work done or not, but it just seems so... falsely confident? If these people lived in a time where they couldn't get work done, what would they do? Just feel horrible about themselves? I see it as on the same par as the whole 'wrinkle craze' that's plagueing the internet. People obsessively applying sunscreen because they think it'll prevent wrinkles. Same with skincare products that claim to 'de-age' your skin. It's all presented to us as all self-care-y and girlboss-y, but I feel that it just sprouts from insecurity. It's quite sad, really, that people are being encouraged to go get plastic surgery instead of learning to love themselves. 😓
