This has been great to listen to! I know very little of the TTRPG scene in japan but hearing Tokita-san's experiences and work in the space has been really insightful! A digital client would definitely help. When you’re keeping track of multiple demons with HP in the triple digits, as well as status effects, doing that analogue seems like a nightmare. Luckily, this is based off a d100 system, so it should be easy to implement, officially or unofficially.

This is from 2003 in Japan originally so no smirk, but press turn as a system wouldnt really work in a ttrpg, as it would be too easy to sweep or get sweeped

Watched this while playing the SMTIII Nocturne soundtrack in the background myself, it was a delightful experience. If you guys have a editor who's up for it, i recommend adding in music from the game at fitting moments while the session progresses, it'd make for a even more enjoyable experience for the expectators.

@@vincentcolantonio1564 I would like to think it wouldn't seeing that many other smt youtubers use the game's music willy and nilly, and Nocturne's soundtrack is really not the most copyrighted sountrack out there anyway. That aside, f**k the copyright it can suck a egg.

I'm sure if its not in the game it won't be hard to homebrew something like it in. I am hoping the system is versatile enough to adapt it to other SMT game settings. Probably wont be too hard to adapt to SMT V, but maybe a bit harder for 1,2, if.., SJ and 4

I've been working on and off on a distinct, but still smt inspired tabletop for about 2 years now, so on one hand I am so unbelievably hyped for this as a long time smt fan, and also so scared that when I get it and play it I'll have to redo everything I've done with my tabletop so that I don't accidentally copy anything

The real inaccuracy is that they could just walk up to the boss without having at least a dozen random encounters first.

@@markcochrane9523They haven't found the boss yet. The boss was described in the beginning as being a dragon. They haven't found the dragon yet.

@@LassBisharp Well, about that...they went out looking for one demon, and they found one demon. Maybe it was the demon they were looking for who had been misidentified as a dragon, or maybe it wasn't and they just called it quits at the first really strong demon they saw, but at the end of the day.....the important bit is that they did not have a random encounter every 5 to 30 steps they took.

@@markcochrane9523Remember, this liveplay says, "episode 1," so that implies that there's going to be more liveplays. Also, I feel like if that was the case, the GM might have said something along the lines of, "maybe this enemy was the, 'dragon,' you were searching for after all."

Is it like dnd where its multiple spell slots or is it like spell points instead for example? Regardless, its very cool how you are allowed to play as the demons themselves! Didnt thought much about it!
