I see here you’ve mentioned a di marzio on the bridge. Is it a super distortion sd100?? Does it feel like Kurt Cobain’s mustang? What if you had swapped for a red tortoise pickguard, would it look nice?

Yes, DiMarzio Super Distortion..I like cheap Squire Mustangs better than Fender Mustangs, because they are a great one trick pony for Rock n Roll..I really dont like any of Kurt Cobain’s mustangs..His Jaguar is good though

My other Mustang is the Squier Sonic HH that is $199..It is better than the older Bullet Mustang, and I put a Seymour Duncan Invader in it…sounds incredible for the value

That's nice mod bro. I'm. Gonna buy from thomann 1 mustang, I'm still debating which one of the red torino or the California blue to buy.... I have already my humbuckers (Di marzio sd100 and SD Jb) and also happen to have SD hot rails. Assuming I can change the pickguard too. I'm a Nirvana (Kurt fan) and wanted to get an advice from you, which one of the 2 guitars would sound close to him?

@@zkiller67 If you like Nirvana, and you want the red one more..as long as you are using hot rails(both neck and bridge) go with the red..I like the California blue because I only needed to go with one pickup(bridge)..Getting it setup by the stores luthier is the most important thing that you ever do ..My local guitar shop sets up for free if you buy the instrument there..otherwise, pay the extra $100 to have it set up (intonated and low action) You will want thicker strings as well on Mustangs…I suggest you have it strung with Ernie Ball Skinny Top Heavy Bottom strings, or any other 10-52 string(GHS or Dean Markley)
