Doesn't matter. If I be honest, I actually think the offensive pace of team USA could have been much faster if guys like Tatum and booker got more playing time as point guards instead of Lebron. For some reason they kept giving Lebron, who is way past his prime and a bit overhyped for his age, the ball way too much, and I think that kind of slowed the team's overall pace in attacking the ball properly. What I'm saying is, just look at how close the games were when Lebron led the majority of the games, versus when the younger players got more playing time against Brazil in the 8th and beat them by more than 30 frickin points, just like in the 2014 olympics where USA beat every time by at least 20 points. It doesn't matter how much team USA this year was flawed and how many fouls were overlooked by refs. Because if team USA gave proper playing time to the much faster and younger players instead of constantly sitting them on the bench and overrelying on Bron and KD, trust me, the way things were playing, team USA would have definitely obliterated every other team by at least 20 points. And whether you like it or not, this is the hard truth that Europe does not want to admit.

@@andrewkong7676 I agree with you it would be better, easier for USA if LeBron had played less, but I wouldn't say it would be that much better. Younger players could be crumbling under preassure with unexpected adversity from other side, and organized team work beats raw talented team almost every day in a week. Serbian team has many very good players defense-wise and also has notable size. Obviously, Serbia has great offencive game, with Jokic in center. Team USA is corrupted by influence of also corrupted NBA organization, with marketing agendas around LeBron (as the face of a league). Serbian team also could be even better, and could've also made couple of shots more in 4th quarter of that game vs USA, but that doesn't change the fact it was not fair at the end.

@vojkanjovanovic7940 Fair point that unfairness is unfairness, but that's not really my main point here. At the end of the day, we'll have to agree to disagree on whether Serbia can actually beat a prime team USA lineup, but I am not altogether dismissing the possibility that one day europe can actually end up beating a prime team USA. Cuz, I do admit that many European countries have definitely elevated their teamplay to a formidable level. And couple that with the unhealthy focus on individual stats and plays, as opposed to actual teamwork building, that's been permeating USA basketball these days even at the youth level, the results of future basketball may be an open book. But if USA starts changing the culture back to what it was and teams actually start relying more on team chemistry, than I'd say we're back to what we saw in the 2014 olympics.
