This song reminds me of my Dad. I would sing it a far to him. He left and started another family. A sad love story of a Polynesian girl, who loved her father, and heartbroken. A wife and his 4 daughters, he left behind. Separated and far apart and I would miss him being his first born. And this song I would sing out to him, afar. A memory and moments reflecting back.
