hi! great question! are you on the hunt for your first designer handbag!? for your first designer handbag i would definitely say stick to neutrals (black, beige, etc.) if you want something timeless! trendy bags or colored bags are definitely fun but if you want something timeless that you aren’t going to get sick of i would avoid anything that’s overly trendy or loud. also, look at your current wardrobe and think about what type of handbag would go with what you currently have! versatility is super important for your first so you want something that will go with everything and ideally be dressed up or dressed down. it’s easy to get caught up shopping for our “fantasy self” but in reality this is how we end up with items we either regret or don’t end up using as much as we thought we would. in terms of luxury it completely depends on the individual, their type of lifestyle, as well their budget. if the handbag is available on the pre loved market or if you plan to buy preloved definitely see how the bag ages & how it holds up over time. when it comes to materials i’m a firm believer that luxury is in the eyes of the beholder and it’s perceived value. while lambskin might be luxury to one individual it might be perceived as fussy to another who might prefer calfskin. it’s all about your lifestyle and what you are looking for in a handbag!

yes now is the best time to buy with the yen being so low! also so many of the preloved bags there are in way better condition than what we see out here! i’m convinced it’s because the japanese take better care of their things and it’s something that’s engrained in them compared to how we treat our belongings here in the US 🫠

hi! i’ve been meaning to get back to you!! i watch so much horror i’m torn on talking about it on this current channel or starting a new channel for it! yes i did i liked it! i’m surprised it hasn’t been remade yet?! tbh i wasn’t really sure about it when i watched the trailer (trailer didn’t do it justice in my opinion) but it definitely exceeded my expectations! fool was a great main character and i REALLY liked the storyline. so many great metaphors / depiction of the people at the bottom fighting to survive at the mercy of the rich / people on top who are the true evil. i wouldn’t necessarily say that it scared me but the the parents (mommy especially) were genuinely creepy!! i think the costume makeup just didn’t really stand the test of time in 2024 so it was hard to find some of the characters truly scary and i found the makeup to be somewhat silly. but idk i couldn’t tell esp with it being an older movie if that was cravens intention and if the makeup was intended to be more camp??? anyway i definitely want to rewatch this one around halloween time when I’m craving classics!! thanks for the rec! cant believe as a horror film fanatic i’ve been sleepin on this gem!
