I’ve got a Question? I’ve got an 2005 zx10r with 22k on it. I bought it and the guy had lowered in the rear. I’m guessing he laid it down. But zero damage to frame or scratches Nowhere surprisingly. Anyways. I put the bike back to stock height so I could set sag because I’m a very light rider 145 with gear. Anyways is it just me but my bike is super nose heavy. I’ve seen people spin there bikes around on the kickstand. I lean mine over it just sits on the front wheel. I can’t even pick the front end up to even try to match the rear? Any ideas. It does have a 190/55 on the rear vs the 190/50
@marcjorgensenКүн бұрын
@@jessefpv9217 the tire height could technially make the difference I suppose. Besides the kickstand spin, how does it ride and handle. Theoretically more weight on the front not such a bad thing
@jessefpv9217Күн бұрын
@ Honestly it Rides That’s about All I Can Say. You can feel the Heaviness in the Front end. If I roll on the throttle it just Spins & Spins feels like Zero Traction in the Rear, until the Tire is Extremely Hot. Turning wise. Just left & Right swaying it feels like the front wants to tuck under itself if that makes since only if you turn sharp left. Idk what’s going on. But I’ve ridden plenty of bikes. I just want the Geometry Right. But This Bike isn’t Right Somewhere. I’ve got Sag set at 30 rear 30 Front. Rear is super stiff front is not as stiff but still stiff.
@marcjorgensen20 сағат бұрын
@@jessefpv9217 Try softening the rear just a tad, take maybe a click of compression out of the rear. And are the forks flush with the triples? My bike runs 08 forks, why there is so much showing, but stock IIRC should be close to flush, maybe just a tad showing. You could always try and lower them in the triples so the cap is completely flush. Just a hair as I am sure you know makes a big difference. Suspension and geometry have a lot of personal preference factors as well. I personally think more weight on the front suits what I like more. I do not want a wheelie happy bike, and I want quick turn in and easy transitions, giving up a bit of high speed cornering stability.
@jessefpv921711 сағат бұрын
@@marcjorgensen I’ve got the Sag set on the bike at 30 rear 30 Front give or take a few mm. Everything on the suspension I set to stock from the oem manual. I agree I also like a little weight on the front. Forks are flush right below the cap. I guess I could move em flush with the cap just to see if a difference I felt. I come from a Motocross background. So I’d like to get the bike even front & Rear so I can adjust from there. But the front being so heavy like it is. Is really throwing me off. I’m thinking the rear tire size could be causing theses problems. 190/50 vs 190/55 wouldn’t that be a 5mm difference? So I would have to take that into account when setting sag in the front I would think

Not really a special tool, you need a small allen wrench, the long ones work best to slide in to release the plastic internal latching mechanisim, a really dumb way to do it, nothing wrong with the standard pins and screws in the bars like other bikes have.

I think the overall wheel base is very similar, the under tail exhaust and underslung swingarm give it that appearance. I would have to go to the specs to be specific.

@marcjorgensen3 ай бұрын
Shoot man, I cannot remember, they are all the same though. I just found some that were pretty close to the 04 Nicky and even so, still had to add a few OE decals to make it look close. The Honda on the lowers and the Woody decals are actually OEM. The tail and the fender are also OEM. They all pretty much suck, I had to add a lot of foil tape and do some uni-bit cleaning out of all the holes and some edge clean up with a dremel. I have a new OE upper, and Left Side still in the package, and a OE rt side I am in progress of refinishing. I would only reccomend those Chinese fairings for a bike that is not ridden much and never left outside.

Thanks, what I was going for with keeping the silver frame visible was a kinda retro sbk vibe. The 2018/19 Corse edition were the only years that had the silver frame so they are a bit unique. I chose the bare aluminum subframe to tie the look together, and have even tossed around the idea of stripping the swingarm, but decided against it. Thanks for the feedback and subscribe as well.
