Actually the movie was filmed in Stonington. They built the set to look like a pizza place. I remember because they built it at a lobster company called garbos. I would know i was one of garbos gorillas!!

I could go hiking here every day. If you want a completely different experience, do so in the winter when there's snow. The hoodoos at sunset look like orange creamsicles with white frosting on top. Also very amazing if you can get it when there's a thunderstorm nearby. Dark clouds in the background contrasts with the sun blazing in on the orange rocks.

Yeah, June really isn't the off-season. It gets busier, but if you really want to go off-season and are willing to take the risk, wait until fall... September to late October. We have been many times but always check the schedule because many exits close and you don't want to miss it or get stuck. I've been there as late as the first couple of days in November and the Park is nearly empty. I remember once that we didn't see another car for over an hour. There were only about 10 other people at OF, though that's a rarity. Of course, there can be sub-zero temps and 30 mph winds, ice on pathways, etc. But there's far more wildlife and you can see many things without tons of people, and often nobody at all.

Info. The Bank of Namibia was built by chinese contractor not Korean. The architects are Namibians. The independence memorial meseum with Sam Nujoma statue holding a book was built by North Korean contractor Mansundae Overseas Corporation. The north Koreans won a tender over the Chinese coz North Koreans are globally beyond Chinese when it comes to National monuments especially that company. Government funded the projects. Actually it's not because they were cheap but they were expensive than the Chinese but they built alot of quality monuments globally. The Architect and Consulting engineers were Namibian companies.
