If you grow on the east side of a building or set of trees itll get that early morning sun and when the heat of the day sets in theyll be in shade. As another commenter mentioned, you don't need height for a receive antenna. My shortwave antenna is 500 feet insulated wire laid directly on the ground in a big square loop. I used a weed whacker to almost scalp the grass where the wire was going, then used wire spikes to hold it down. About a month later, the grass has grown back and you can mow like normal and never hit the wire. It's crazy how good the reception is.
