it's different than playing a solid wood guitar as the control cavity adds a bit of resonance to it, but that only has a small affect on the tone when plugged in. The pickup is a BKP Silo, may swap for something else down the road as its a little dark especially since I'm tuned to c# standard or drop b#. one other thing to note is some folks complain these aren't stable with weather, temp, humidity changes which is nonsense. We've had some massive changes here lately with temp and humidify and the guitar stays in tune better than the rest of my other guitars. You'd dig it I think.

@wizardsouthJP14 күн бұрын
@@startale123 thanks, your question is a matter of opinion and maybe preference based on what one deems valuable or worthwhile for a specific purpose. All that being said, the Wizard 3D sound is hard to replicate. If you play even the finest amps side by side with one it’s really hard to argue that they’re special. The EVH EL34 Stealth 100w is in the ballpark of the MCII but doesn’t have the clarity or dynamics. But, for metal - whether live or recorded they’ll both do a fantastic job. @wizardsouthJP18 күн бұрын
@@pytech7seven that’s a tough decision, the Rivera KTre has a really unique grind and aggression to it - although the low end is pretty massive so a boost would help tighten it up. The SLO is better suited for hard rock and is tighter on its own without a boost, although it likes a boost in front too. Both have nice cleans if you need that. These days if I had to pick one I’d probably lean KTre.

@@crimsontowerfullmoon8646 SLO needs a boost IMO to push it into a tighter more controlled level of gain. Not that is doesn’t have enough gain but it’s a little rounded in the low end so a boost tightens it up making the pick attack more immediate and responsive.
