A question - I've been using a "heads up" style of putting, looking at the hole from all distances. It seems to help my distance control. What are your thoughts on "heads up" putting?
@davemurray953312 күн бұрын
I liked your distance control tip, although I’m not sure how it related to making 5-foot putts. I’m guessing you meant get your speed down on lag putts, and you won’t have any 5-foot putts. Right?

Nice video. Full release is demonstrated nicely on these shots but a key not mentioned. AKA Dan Grieve release 3 finish where you can put in the holster. Compact Lie: A new technique I watched from a Scottish pro was to use hands high, square, and hit the toe similar to toe down chipping. To me this is safer than the heal which is too close to hosel for comfort. Looking forward to trying when things thaw out.

Keep your head down is something said by people that don’t know how to swing the club

Great video! The technique you’re teaching here seems very simple and easily repeatable. One thing the video is missing though is distance control out of the bunker! This ability eludes me completely. Can you help!!?? Thanks!

What do you mean “leave it in there” when talking about the heel of the club on a buried lie? Looks like you’re still following through somewhat

sadly you didn’t watch this before you posted! Your hands were “pressed forward” and NOT pointing to your belt buckle, but forward of it!

How about a rain soaked bunker with the sand like concrete.

For amateurs, following the ball after the strike and not keeping the head down does not work. I need to keep my head down after the strike or else I come out of the swing and over the top hitting a slice. Your advice is good for scratch golfers, not for the average golfer.

Simple and to the point and great execution by the way 👍⛳️👍

Yes… for the tour player with the amount of talent they have they don’t look too early as us amateurs do picking our heads up that lifts our bodies up just enough to not strike the ball correctly The natural body movement should as you have shown here move the head anyway So I believe the thought to the saying keep the head down is for the novice players to not come out of the stance to early Just my opinion ⛳️👍⛳️

We all can use your advice here and for me hearing it for maybe the first time the degree of wedge to use was very insightful I will be using it today 👍⛳️👍

Randy, I'd love to get your instruction on all the variations in instruction on the "weight shift" versus "keeping weight forward". Watching your videos so far, I like the way you keep weight somewhat forward and simplify things. I'd love to see you do two videos on this --- (1) middle to short irons, and (2) driver. Thanks!

Awesome Randy!!! Can you do a video about weight/pressure shift and what you feel in your feet?

Ok. Huge difference practicing at home with turf mat. So much less the think about. Can’t wait to try this at the range. Is it same with woods?

Hey, Randy remember our days on the range in Concord N.C. I am still using some of the things I learned from you at 75 years old. Good for you keep up the good work. I will be watching for your videos

Good video. If you drop the club on the ball are u not likely to chunk it. I’m trying this but still flip a bit and thin it😟😟

Liked, subscribed and insta followed. Looking forward to the content as I know first hand that there is a difference between “normal” golf instruction and what tour players actually do since my instructor played on tour for 10 years. Best of luck!

I'm left handed however I play right handed. This feels very natural if I'm swinging left handed however when I switch to right handed it feels very awkward. My index is a 5.8 however I've often wondered if things would feel more natural from the left side?
