Manchester (if it's just the city of Manchester, rather than greater Manchester) is gone completely There's no area of the city that hasn't been replaced, apart from maybe one or two on the outskirts. Manchester doesn't have as strong an identity as Scouse and Liverpool and people usually only visit the centre, which is full of shoppers and students and tourists etc so people barely notice

The speed this change has happened is mind blowing it's only took about 50 years to change London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leicester, Bradford to the minority White British indigenous population cities these have now become today, these major English cities still all had 100% White populations as late as 1951, most of the change has happened over the last 30 years. Liverpool is quickly heading the same way, within a decade or two it will suffer the same fate of these major English cities, lost forever a shadow of it's former past.

I was watching a children's show (on KZbin) called "Free Time" made by Thames Television, this particular episode was shown in 1982. It showed young teenagers at a bicycle track in east London. What was striking about the episode (yes they were white kids but also) were their accents. Pure cockney, as all working class Londoners use to sound like back then and I suspect they spoke with an accent which you would have heard as far back as the 1880s! But now because a more diverse populace in recent decades it has totally change to and replaced by the so called "multi cultural London English" accent which you will hear from young Londoners (from various ethnic backgrounds) More akind to the Bronx than ol' cockney London.
