For babies: Grand Plains, Crater, White Cliffs, Green Hills, Green Valley = DEATH.

add Salt Flats to that list too, and possibly dried lake. both are good questing spots but super open, and lots of people check for babies there

Watching the video I noticed you are now doing the "chunk and then swallow" method for eating now instead of the normal eating animations. It really does save time with filling up and if you need to run away it is slightly faster and can be the difference between escaping and becoming a meal.

it's also a LOT quieter. You make a lot less noise eating chunk by chunk than you do the normal eating animation, and on permadeath being quiet is very important

I prefer the north for growth and it's never steered me wrong. Rainbow Hills to Rockfall, Desolate Pass, and after I've grown a bit, or its empty, Savanna, and maybe a dip down to the Sand Caverns. Quests are super quick and while Savana can sometimes be risky, mostly I don't even see anyone. I find the south to be much more hazardous and questing in forests just annoying. My route from Rainbow to Rockfall is along the north side, cross the water where the river meets the ocean. Then just run along the north shore to the Rainbow oasis, all your quests can be done right around there. Also worth noting that if you need to fill up on critters, Desolate Pass and Dried late have a lot of the bigger ones, including giant tortoises. I kept my adult Dasp filled up just hunting in Dried Lake.

My encounters so far have been very cautious. In my Tyrannotitan video, i ran into another adult tyrannotitan, and we kind of warily moved past each other, weighing the other for hostile moves, before going our own way the only attacks i've received, i've successfully fought off. People are a lot more cautious, and seem more likely to try to run if they think it's going to go badly for them, instead of risking getting too low on health

It’s a hit or miss, I’ve encountered groups of mixpackers. I usually tend to leave an area if I see a large group of players. It’s a lot better than regular officials.

half way into the video, rip to the TT but hello to the Bugswella, I honestly think rainbow is one of the best starting points for baby's more specifically for herbivores due to the fact that there is plenty of vegetation to survive off of like banana's, I try to go from rainbow-rockfall-ocean pillars + the teeth-Burned forest... than anywhere else is good from there. also, I think the anno knew you were there and was likely baiting you in hopes you would give them really good scars for their future. but that's just my assumption. annywho good video as always so far and im now off to finish watching. <3

Is PTSR reliant on discord? I'm looking for a variety of semi-realism/realism servers but most besides Nat Hist and Islander are completely dependent on discord. I have nothing against using discord, but if there's an alternative it would be great to know

if it helps i rarely ever go to the discord. The rules are pretty simple and dont need to be checked constantly, and the profiles for PTSR are optional and not required so you dont have to check those constantly either

on PTSR, the only things that can't fully mixpack are Apexes. For Apexes they can only pack with other Apexes everything else can freely mixpack

I was actually on today as My Gigantoraptor Elroy only to see 4 Kapro's Hopping along and all I could think of was "This is Terrifyingly Silly". though I didn't see a Sarco with them I saw one nearby and decided to avoid the water and move on to a new source of water. May haps it was you, may haps it wasn't.

Love the video, btw I don't really like the way the Kapro looks, the head is fine, but the body needs to change the mod team needs to make the legs longer and put them underneath it's body to be more scientific accurate, to me they should take the ark kapro and give it the mod kapro head.

I don’t wanna be that guy, but actually Kapro was likely more of a normal crocodile in build. Ark’s kapro has an outdated design.

The other problem with fighting high health AI is the longer the fight goes on the more attack calls that you and the AI are making the better chance of being found by players many of whom will know what Dino you’re playing just by the calls you’re making while attacking
