Only 850 miles range , bearly enough to cruise the California coast one way. To go away where you will need some canvas aloft. Nice tinder, tho 😮

Great video, Live2Boat. Looking forward to seeing more content from you. I smashed the thumbs up button on your upload. Keep up the excellent work! Your insights on managing throttle control in varying sea conditions were particularly enlightening. How do you recommend adjusting techniques for different types of hull designs in extreme weather?
@live2boatКүн бұрын
Thanks for stopping by…very much appreciated! I think you just need to run a boat in a variety of conditions to get a feel for the hull and how it performs. They all have their strengths and weaknesses. It also helps to know how you’re going to use the boat most of the time. Ocean, inside waters, chop, swell, fishing, entertaining, cruising,…etc.

Very well-presented information, thanks. Does the Seakeeper Ride completely replace the trim tabs, leaving the only manual trim to the engines themselves? Or maybe asked another way, is the Ride system totally automatic, or is there also some manual input / override?
@live2boat2 күн бұрын
Thank you! Seakeeper RIDE completely replaces the trim tabs. It works automatically but adjustments can be made manually also. I can’t be happier with it so far 👍

Excellent video. I might add before you drop a load of money on a boat you need to test drive the boat in rough conditions. There are some boats that handle very well heading into the waves and be downright scary in a following sea. If the dealer will not test drive the boat in rough water, walk away from the deal. There is nothing worse than owning a poorly handling boat in rough water and getting the crap beat out of you at the same time. Trim tabs and power trim are a must have on a boat.
@live2boat2 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching! I sure wish it was rougher for this video but launching and retrieving the drone in that weather is sketchy. Totally agree on sea trialing a boat to pick a day with some wind and waves if you can. Most of the boat salesman that I know in the PNW would have no problem with that.

A really sharp looking 22' boat that's really expensive when compared to comparable custom made of similar design. A friend of mine works for Pacific Skiff and I had the opportunity to see the maiden voyage of 28' x10' pacific skiff built last summer that had a full width cabin with the same walk thru design with twin 300 Yamahas with a standup head that was only $3500 mor than this boat. Also included a rear steering station, 25 hp Yamaha and the Yamaha Helm-master.,. This should be an under 200k boat. Not 235K plus. The 160K price that's listed in boat trader is for the basic boat only with no power or rigging. Do not like the idea of the fish boxes draining into the bilge. Nothing negative about the design as it is a fantastic-looking boat.

Digital controller can make 100 computation adjustments a second but a mechanical controller is not making 100 corrections a second under load or any other time. 🤷🏼 In the end it has left/right, trim up/down, speed up/down….. and that’s it. It might “change its mind” 100 times a second but it’s not doing 100 realized maneuvers a second. That would be counterproductive and also would burn out all the controls.

Love saxdor’s styling. The boat is built for comfort, I don’t care about “fast” as much as i care about range at a comfortable speed. I also care about parts not breaking and falling apart, build quality is important. I am curious about saxdor’s electric propulsion. The quietness of such propulsion fits perfectly with the comfort factor.

In the sixties, there was this hydrofoil service between Manila and Corregidor island. The trip was smooth despite the waves. That's the feature of hydrofoils, it lifts the boat off the water and the waves of course! And now you got it running on electricity, must be awfully quiet and more relaxing!
