I don’t get why they didn’t take turns alternating in suspension. They could have arrived in 40 years together. May even work on a dual solution while taking turn being animated. Or if you’re going to wake anyone up why not a ship specialist?! This movie was so full of holes.

The deleted scenes suggest the makers were exploring Aurora discovering Jim’s deceit. We also see her cruel narcissistic side - so begin to see both as real, faulty human beings. If these had been kept and expanded, the film would have been much more dramatic and dark. The final version went for cute love story and happiness. Unfortunately, a version where hate swallowed up everything leading to a more dramatic and realistic was avoided. It’s interesting to see snippets of that alternative.

This is a severely underrated movie. It explores our human essence in so many ways. Very well written. The writer clearly has studied us for a long time. :)

The dinner scene and that scene where she finds that book/photostrip built a little tension because shes nudging up against his secret (waking her up). They shouldve kept them in, i dont think there are any scenes like that, she just randomly finds out out of the blue.
