A really nice high E on a gemeinhardt 2sp. And the 2sp has the split E. I have a yamaha yfl-222. Has no split E. I would love to hear your high E on the yfl-222. Was torn between getting the 2sp or the yfl-222. Thanks for your time

Funny using Rampal as an example when his flute is tilted in a lower angle than his lips. Not saying that it isn't good advice to try to keep things in line (like James Galway for example).

The lungs expand because the diaphragm contracts, lowering the air pressure in the lungs, allowing air to flow into the lungs. The diaphragm is definitely a muscle that you have control over. If you didn't, without mechanical support, you would die. That's the physics.

I’m a clarinetist and Midsummer Night’s Dream is one of our most difficult excerpts due to articulation, tempo, and going over the break so much….lemme tell ya, you did ALL of that flute part!! So nice!

Nina, amazing video. I wanted to ask, how do you, personally, align your headjoint with respect to say the "C" key on the body...or the F, E and D keys on the right hand (for example)

The term is Tremolo. And always use RH 2+3 on the C# and D# trill keys...... always. The RH fingers move up the tube to their respective secondary (trill) keys.

Who Is Nina Perlove? I write it now. I watched and listened to this Telemann's Fantasie 12 years ago. I was studying it. Now I just restarted playing flute and also this Fantasie, and I searched that beautiful skilled woman. I am happy to find her again!
